Saolahu Coffee & Stay: Hidden gem with stunning mountain views in Ban Jabo, Mae Hong Son

During our first Mae Hong Son road trip, Ban Jabo quickly became one of our absolute highlights—both literally and figuratively. Tucked high in the hills, this small village took our breath away with its dramatic views and authentic charm. We initially stayed at 7 Among Scenery, a humble guesthouse not listed on major platforms like Agoda or Booking.com (like most places in Ban Jabo). While the host was lovely, we found an even more appealing spot to recommend: Saolahu Coffee.

At first glance, Saolahu Coffee appears to be a charming little café with a stunning panoramic view over the surrounding mountains—and it absolutely is. But after chatting with the kind owner, we discovered they also offer accommodation. The rooms are simple, just like most in the village, but clean, cozy, and more than sufficient for a one- or two-night stay.

There are about six basic rooms situated directly beneath the café, which also goes by the name Ten Lak Coffee. We took some photos to give you an idea of what to expect—basic but neat and with one of the best views in Ban Jabo. If you’d like to book or get more details, you can contact the owner directly at sornsawan4859@gmail.com or call +66 (0) 99 240 4859.

If you’re planning a stop in Ban Jabo, this is one of the most memorable and scenic places to spend a night on the Mae Hong Son Loop.
