Riding a scooter in Koh Tao can be easier said than done; the roads are not always in good condition, especially those leading to lookout points, which can be quite challenging. Most beaches are easily accessible by scooter, but keep in mind that Koh Tao is a hilly island. This means you may need to tackle steep hills, which might require you to accelerate significantly.
