Days 5-6: Khao Sok Village

Khao Sok is a beautiful natural area in southern Thailand that you definitely shouldn’t miss. What makes Khao Sok so special is the combination of dense jungle, impressive limestone rock formations, and the clear waters of Cheow Lan Lake. Hiking in this area is an amazing experience. The lake is breathtakingly beautiful, with floating bungalows where you can stay right in the middle of nature. The green surroundings and unique flora and fauna make Khao Sok a must-visit during your trip to Thailand.

Arrive early in Surathani and continue to Khao Sok National Park. Stay two nights in a cool treehouse surrounded by nature but with all comforts.

  • Go kayaking or tubing on the river.
  • Trek through the jungle, go birdwatching, or take a night safari.
  • Take a cooking course and learn how to prepare delicious meals in the jungle.
  • Eat in the cozy village and try the best Massaman Curry at Pawns.

Day 7: Overnight on the Lake

Head to Khao Sok’s famous Cheow Lan Lake and spend a night in one of the unique floating bungalows, surrounded by pristine nature. There are different types of bungalows available, ranging from simple, basic accommodations to luxurious, well-equipped houses.

For an even more special experience and to avoid the crowds during peak season, we recommend choosing the more secluded floating bungalows. You’ll pay a bit more, but in return, you get a truly unique experience on Cheow Lan Lake. This way, you can fully enjoy the peace and quiet, the gentle water, and the stunning views over the lake. It’s the perfect place to completely unwind! Watch for wild elephants, dusky leaf monkeys, and hornbills that inhabit this area!

Koh Phi Phi is a beautiful group of islands in Thailand, known for its crystal-clear water and impressive limestone cliffs. Besides the famous Maya Bay, known from the movie The Beach, other spots such as Long Beach and Monkey Beach are also popular to visit.

The island offers plenty of opportunities for diving and snorkeling, with colorful coral reefs and diverse marine life. In the evening, the island comes alive with cozy bars and restaurants on the beach. For those who love adventure, there are also hiking trails to viewpoints with breathtaking views over the islands.

Days 14-18: Railay Beach

Railay Beach is a paradise, accessible only by boat. The impressive limestone cliffs, white beaches, and crystal-clear water make it one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand. Many people visit Railay only as a day trip from Ao Nang or Krabi. This means you often see the place only at its busiest time. A shame, because outside the busy hours, Railay is truly beautiful and peaceful.

Take a boat to Railay Beach and stay four nights here. Choose the most beautiful resort with its famous cave restaurant or one of our more affordable favorites like Avatar Resort.

  • Explore the famous Phra Nang Beach, known for its towering limestone cliffs.
  • Climb to the hidden lagoon and viewpoint, or visit the Bat Cave.
  • Enjoy evenings in the lively village and watch spectacular sunsets on the beach with a drink in hand—the true Railay vibe!
