The sea off Kalim Beach is a well-known surf spot, especially when the waves pick up during the monsoon season. Thanks to its consistent swells and reef break, surfers from nearby Patong often make their way here. Even the pros from Andaman Sea Surf Club—one of the best surf schools in the area—frequently choose Kalim for their sessions. The dead coral reef beneath the surface helps form long, smooth waves that are perfect for both experienced and intermediate surfers. A local surfer recently called it a classic “reef break”—and we couldn’t agree more!
