Yae Beach is a rare find in Phuket—a peaceful, well-kept hideaway with the perks of luxury just steps away. Whether you’re staying at The Naka Phuket or arriving by boat for the day, Yae Beach is a rewarding beacg destination for those who value nature, serenity, and a bit of exclusivity.
Yae Beach, also spelled Ya Nui or Yaeh Beach, is a small and secluded beach tucked away between Kamala and Patong on Phuket’s west coast. Surrounded by jungle-covered cliffs and granite boulders, Yae Beach offers a tranquil escape for those looking to disconnect and enjoy Phuket’s natural beauty. While it’s not the easiest beach to reach, that’s exactly what makes it feel like your own private slice of paradise. We suggest you book a stay at The Naka, the only accommodation in the bay.

What makes Yae Beach so special?
Its seclusion is Yae Beach’s biggest draw. Unlike the larger, more developed beaches of Phuket, Yae remains untouched by tourism infrastructure. There are no sun loungers, vendors, or noisy crowds—just raw nature, calm waters, and the sound of waves. With its massive boulders, soft sand, and dramatic jungle backdrop, Yae is ideal for peace-seekers, couples, and amateur photographers.

Yae Beach is less than 250 meters long, and thanks to The Naka Phuket, the beach is well maintained and kept clean. The sand is soft and golden, and the beach is framed by lush greenery and smooth boulders. During high tide, the beach can feel cozy and exclusive, while low tide exposes more of the rocky shore.
The sea at Yae Beach
During the dry season (November to April), the sea is calm and suitable for swimming and snorkeling. Snorkeling is best near the rocks, but water shoes or flippers are recommended due to the many sharp stones and rocks on the seabed. In the rainy season (May to October), the sea can become rough and swimming should be approached with caution.
How to get to Yae Beach on Phuket?
Yae Beach can be reached by longtail boat from Patong or Kamala Beach, which should cost no more than 200 baht per person one way. Alternatively, if you’re staying at The Naka Phuket, you’ll have direct access to the beach. It’s not publicly accessible by road unless you’re a resort guest or possibly dining at their restaurant.
