The Forest by the Sky: A captivating jungle experience in Pattaya

The Forest by the Sky is one of the most memorable locations from our 2024 visit to Pattaya and Jomtien. This destination combines an enchanting natural setting with excellent food and drinks. After a few busy days in Pattaya, we truly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere this place offers. While watching the sun set over the sea, we enjoyed two delicious cocktails and a selection of flavorful dishes.

Location & Accessibility

The Forest by the Sky is situated on Tamnak Hill, west of Pattaya, and is easily accessible by car, taxi, Grab, or Bolt. Surrounded by lush tropical flora, the location instantly sets a calming tone upon arrival. It’s conveniently close to popular attractions in Pattaya and Jomtien, making it easy to combine with a visit to Nong Nooch Garden, which is about a 30-minute drive away. Central Pattaya is just 15 minutes away when traffic is light, but it’s safer to allow for about 30 minutes. We loved this beachfront location, especially for its stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand during sunset!

Design & Atmosphere

The design of The Forest by the Sky is inspired by nature, featuring abundant greenery and open spaces that create a serene ambiance. The architecture strikes a perfect balance between modern and natural elements. Indoors, large glass panels allow you to feel surrounded by jungle greenery. During the day, sunlight streams in beautifully, while in the evening, soft lighting creates a romantic mood. Wooden accents and natural materials reinforce the connection to nature. Outdoors, there are plenty of seating options at varying heights, adding charm and versatility. We were delighted with our cozy outdoor spot!

Service & Hospitality

We found the staff at The Forest by the Sky to be exceptionally attentive. They were always ready to assist the moment we looked up. The team was also incredibly friendly and engaging, even teaching us a few new Thai words. From the moment we arrived until we left, we felt genuinely welcomed. Everything was well-organized, and we must compliment the service team for their excellent work!

Menu & Kitchen Style

The menu at The Forest by the Sky offers a wide variety of Thai and international dishes. From fresh seafood to classic Thai favorites like Tom Yum, Pad Thai, and a range of curries, there’s something for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans.

During our 2024 visit, we opted for two iconic Thai dishes: a green curry and crab fried rice. Both were outstanding! The fact that they served a proper prik nam pla on the side spoke volumes about the kitchen’s expertise.

The Forest by the Sky boasts an impressive drinks menu, featuring both signature and classic cocktails, fine wines, and refreshing non-alcoholic options like fruit and coffee shakes. The signature cocktails, “The Jungle” and “The Fairy Tale,” are highly recommended – both were delightfully refreshing and generously poured. Coffee lovers will also appreciate the variety of specialty coffees, prepared by skilled baristas.
