Romantic beach walk on Nang Thong Beach

The southern part of Nang Thong Beach spills over into Sunset Beach, these two beaches are a popular spot for loving Thai couples. For a beach walk, Nang Thong Beach is very beautiful. From the beach you can see a small lighthouse, which provides that extra bit of romance in the evening. During the day, you can swim or walk there at low tide.

Accommodations at Nang Thong Beach

The accommodations directly on the beach are all luxury resorts and have at least 3 stars. Prices usually start in the high season around 100 euros per night per room. Cheaper accommodations are also available, but you will often have to walk a bit if you want to visit the beach. There are also hotels and hostels on the main road, these are a bit cheaper. Most restaurants, supermarkets and other stores are on the main road, so that’s a good thing. From the main road to the beach it is an average of ten minutes walk.

What to do in the area of Nang Thong Beach in Khao Lak?

Nang Thong Beach is a very nice beach, so probably you will spend a lot of time right on the beach. But if you are ready for something else, there is more to do in the area.

La On Village

The shopping street near Nang Thong Beach is officially called La On Village and is considered the center of Khao Lak. Most restaurants, massage stores, stores, accommodations and travel agencies of Khao Lak are located here. These are often located along both sides of the wide main road, Phetchkasem Road. Phetchkasem Road is the main road that runs through all of Khao Lak and ends in Phuket after 80 km to the south.

Bang Niang Beach

Nang Thong Beach is located south of Bang Niang Beach, another popular beach in Khao Lak. You can reach this beach by a walk on the beach and a short ferry ride. The ferry is only needed at high tide because at low tide you can just walk on. A one way trip by ferry costs 20 baht per person.
