Railay Village Resort gave us a wonderfully relaxing break in one of Thailand’s most stunning locations. It has everything you need: a perfect beach at your doorstep, lush surroundings, two great pools, and genuine Thai hospitality. Whether you’re in Railay for a couple of days or a longer stay, this resort is a reliable and scenic choice for your trip.

Railay Village Resort: A super comfy resort in Railay

Some places win you over at first glance—Railay Village Resort was one of them. Nestled right on the soft sands of Railay West Beach and framed by Krabi’s iconic limestone cliffs, this resort immediately gave us that “we’re on holiday” feeling. Whether it was the warm welcome, the sunset dinners by the sea, or the inviting pools surrounded by lush gardens, Railay Village felt like a little pocket of peace we didn’t want to leave. Here’s our full experience.

Location & Accessibility: Where in Krabi is Railay Village Resort located?

Railay Village Resort is located directly on the beachfront of Railay West, one of the most scenic beaches in Thailand. The only way to reach Railay is by boat—we arrived via a longtail boat from Ao Nang (15 minutes, 100 THB per person). As you disembark, the resort is just a short stroll across the sand. Despite Railay being part of the mainland, the dramatic cliffs make it feel like you’ve landed on a tropical island. A true escape!

Service & Hospitality

From the moment we stepped onto the sand, we were greeted with cold towels and a welcome drink at reception. Check-in was smooth and friendly, with our luggage already en route to our room. Throughout our stay, the staff were polite, helpful, and always smiling. It’s a laid-back vibe, but the team made sure every detail was taken care of.

Architecture & Design

The resort has a traditional Thai-style design with wooden accents and open-air spaces that blend into the tropical setting. The villas and buildings are tucked into beautifully landscaped gardens, with winding paths, flowering plants, and of course—the dramatic limestone backdrop.

Ambiance & Atmosphere

Relaxed and peaceful. The resort doesn’t feel crowded, and because it stretches along a large part of the beach, it’s easy to find quiet corners to unwind. We loved lounging by the pools and strolling down Railay Walking Street in the evenings. The vibe is warm and casual, perfect for couples, families, or anyone needing a peaceful break.

Our own Pool Pavilion

Our Deluxe Pool View Room on the first floor had a large balcony overlooking the biggest pool. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home—bright, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated with tropical flowers and a sweet welcome message. The king-size bed was super comfy, and we had everything we needed: minibar, flat-screen TV, a sofa lounge, and a useful aircon/lighting control panel at our bedside.

The bathroom was spotless and spacious, with both a bathtub and separate shower. We appreciated the extras like mosquito repellent, razors, and eco-friendly towel options. It was clear the staff had taken care to make sure everything felt fresh and clean.

Facilities & Amenities

Two Swimming Pools: One near the beach/reception and a larger one in the garden, surrounded by sun loungers with thick cushions and parasols. There were jets and bubbling sections that came on during certain hours—a nice touch!

Food & Beverage

The breakfast buffet was served at the beachfront restaurant with a view of the sea—what better way to start the day? Lunch and dinner could also be enjoyed here. The food was tasty, and although the resort doesn’t serve alcohol, you can buy it nearby and bring it in. We appreciated the flexibility!
