Set along Ao Nang’s main street (Route 4203), the resort is just a 10-minute walk from the beach and seafront boulevard. You’re surrounded by restaurants, bars, massage parlors, shops, and even a 7-Eleven next door. Despite being in the heart of Ao Nang, the resort offers a peaceful retreat from the busy city center. Landing on Krabi Airport? In just a half hour drive you will arrive in this super nice resort.

Service & Hospitality

As expected from the Avani brand, the service at Ao Nang Cliff is truly outstanding. The team is warm, attentive, and always ready to help with any question or request. On our first stay, they assisted us with a shuttle to the airport. In 2025, they arranged a smooth transfer to Ao Nam Mao Pier, where we caught a boat to our favorite Thai beach paradise — Railay. Every experience was handled with care and professionalism.

A special mention goes to the amazing F&B team and Chef Tiger, who introduced us to delicious new Thai dishes and even surprised us with our favorite fruit: saparot pule — the incredibly sweet mini pineapple. Thank you, Chef Tiger!

And last but not least, a big shout out to the General Manager and the entire team — your hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable.

Atmosphere & Design

Built into the hillside, Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort features a multi-level layout that’s both practical and fun to navigate. Check-in takes place on the lower level, where you’re greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and a signature Thai smile. From there, a resort vehicle is ready to take you and your luggage up to the level where your room or private villa is located — a smooth and comfortable start to your stay.

The design blends natural materials with stylish touches, creating a laid-back yet upscale atmosphere throughout the resort. From the upper floors—like the one we stayed on—you’re treated to breathtaking panoramic views over Ao Nang and the shimmering Andaman Sea.

It was already fantastic back in 2019, and in 2025 the room felt just as clean, fresh, and comfortable — if not better. We noticed some thoughtful upgrades: the bathroom had been renovated, and the room received a subtle makeover. Special compliments to the team for choosing Malin + Goetz bath products — one of our all-time favorite skincare brands!

We especially loved the private balcony with a bathtub and the phenomenal view over Ao Nang, the majestic cliffs, and the islands scattered across the Andaman Sea. The shower pressure was excellent, and with 45 m² of space, the room felt open and convenient. We slept incredibly well — the bed was pure bliss!

Facilities & Amenities

The standout feature of the resort is without a doubt the 22-meter infinity pool on the sixth floor, offering spectacular panoramic views over Ao Nang. Honestly, we haven’t found a better pool in the area! It’s the perfect place to cool off, sip a drink, and take in the scenery.

There’s also a second pool near the gym, ideal for a refreshing dip after your workout. Both pools are open daily from 10:00 to 19:00 hours.

The Avani Spa

For total relaxation, the Avani Spa (open from 10:00 to 21:00 hours) offers a range of massages and beauty treatments. We treated ourselves to a professional couples massage—the staff was warm and welcoming, and the therapists were truly excellent. A must visit during your stay!

During our stay at Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort, we enjoyed several delicious meals and refreshing drinks at the resort’s restaurants and bars

Breakfast at Pano Café

We started our mornings with a buffet breakfast that had something for everyone. Fresh fruit juices, coffee, and tea were ready to go, alongside a wide range of Western favorites like bread, cheeses, cereals, a salad bar, and a live egg station. For those craving something more local, there were also Eastern options such as fragrant curries, steamed rice, and a noodle station. What we enjoyed most? The generous selection of seasonal fresh fruit—from juicy watermelon and sweet oranges to our favorite: passion fruit. A perfect and energizing start to each day!

Dinner at The Cliff Bar

The Thai food we enjoyed at The Cliff Bar was absolutely delicious! We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Tiger, previously the chef at Avani in Koh Yao Noi, whose passion for Thai cuisine truly shines through. He recommended a few Thai specialties, and we’re so glad we followed his advice — every dish was bursting with flavor.

We kicked off with a mixed platter of Thai appetizers, followed by a variety of main courses to share, with the highlight being a perfectly cooked fried fish that stole the show. It was a flavorful and unforgettable evening of Thai culinary delights!

Cocktails at The Peak

Just like in 2019, we couldn’t resist heading up to The Peak—the rooftop and highest point of the resort that overlooks the infinity pool, Ao Nang, and its stunning coastline. We absolutely LOVE this view, especially during golden hour with a cocktail in hand.

While some small updates were already visible, the friendly general manager shared that bigger transformations are on the way. The Peak is set to become a full-fledged rooftop bar, welcoming both resort guests and outside visitors. If that happens, it’s guaranteed to become one of Ao Nang’s must-visit sunset spots!
