Laem Haad Beach is situated on Koh Yao Yai, one of the twin islands in Phang Nga Bay between Phuket and Krabi. The beach lies at the northeastern end of the island, facing Koh Yao Noi, just across a narrow channel.

How to get to Laem Haed Beach on Koh Yao Yai from Phuket

To reach Laem Haad Beach, take a boat from Phuket’s Bang Rong Pier or Ao Po Pier to the Koh Yao Yai, which takes about 30–45 minutes. From the arrival pier (Chong Lard) on Koh Yao Yai, it’s approximately a 5-minute drive to the beach. Transportation options include local taxis or rented motorbikes.

How to get to Laem Haed Beach on Koh Yao Yai

The road leading to Laem Haad Beach is in good condition and clearly signposted from the main road. You can drive almost all the way to Laem Had Bar, where the road turns into a dirt path. There’s free parking for scooters, the iconic sandbar is already in view. Just before reaching the beach, you’ll pass Chong Lard Pier on your right—this is also where boats from Phuket, Koh Yao Noi, Ao Nang and Railay arrive.
