Chalok Baan Kao Bay is one of the quiet bays of Koh Tao, ideal for sunbathing and relaxing. The beach is narrow during high tide, and the sea remains shallow for a long distance, requiring a walk to swim. This might explain its lower popularity, but the tranquility and shallow waters are great for families with small children.
Looking for a tranquil beach on Koh Tao? Go to Chalok Bay!
Chalok Baan Kao Bay is one of the quiet bays of Koh Tao. The beach is most suitable for sunbathing and relaxing. During high tide, the beach is quite narrow. The sea is shallow for a long distance, so if you really want to swim, you will have to walk quite a way into the sea. This is probably why Chalok Bay is not a super popular beach. However, for families with small children, the tranquility and shallow water can actually be an advantage.
