Aow Leuk is renowned as one of the top snorkeling spots in Koh Tao, Thailand. With its crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life, it attracts both beginners and experienced snorkelers alike. The area is famous for its stunning coral reefs, where you’ll encounter a variety of colorful fish and other fascinating sea creatures. You can spot a diverse range of fish, and sometimes small (harmless) sharks swim by!

Quiet beach

The beach at Aow Leuk is relatively quiet, making it an ideal location to relax and enjoy the underwater wonders. Many visitors come here to soak up the sun and explore the rich biodiversity beneath the surface. Whether you’re swimming among the corals or simply lounging on the shore, Aow Leuk offers a perfect escape for everyone!

Family and kids-friendly beach

Are you looking for a family-friendly beach? Then Aow Leuk is a good spot for you and your kids! This small beach is ideal for families. In the middle of the bay, you’ll find a lovely sandy bottom, perfect for floating and swimming around without worrying about rocks or coral. The sea is deep enough all day long for swimming or snorkeling. On the beach, there are sunbeds and umbrellas for when you want to relax.

What makes Aow Leuk extra special is that after just a few steps into the water, you can already see beautiful fish swimming around. Kids can easily go snorkeling here without having to venture far into the sea. We probably don’t need to tell you that Aow Leuk is one of our favorite beaches on Koh Tao!

Affordable beachfront bungalows on Koh Tao

The bungalow features a spacious balcony with loungers and a hammock where you can unwind for hours. The view of the bay is simply amazing! Here, you can truly relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. The bungalow are close to Restaurant and Beach. The (affordable) restaurant is just a few steps down, as is the beach.

Entrance fee to Aow Leuk Beach

To visit the stunning Aow Leuk beach, you will need to pay an entrance fee of 100 baht. This fee includes: A sunbed and free soft drink.

Bungalow guests: If you’re staying in a bungalow, you have free access to Aow Leuk beach.

Traveling by scooter:
The scenic route to Aow Leuk consists mainly of concrete slabs, with a few sandy sections along the way. Please be cautious, as some parts of the road can be steep.

Taxi services :
You can take a taxi from Sairee Beach to Aow Leuk. The fare is about 150 baht per person, with a minimum of 4 passengers required for the trip. This price is for a one-way journey.
