Purana Residence: A beautifull villa for a unique stay or dream wedding

Here we stood, facing each other, hand in hand, with a look that spoke volumes. “Yes I do,” echoed, followed by my “YES I DO!” This moment was experienced by Ilonka and me on August 4, 2022, in Thailand, a country that we both cherish. Purana Residence was an excellent wedding venue. We enjoyed every moment, both before, during, and after our wedding. The location, the ceremony in the garden, the staff at Panacea, the surroundings, our master bedroom, and the rooms for our guests—everything was perfect!

The Garden with Pool Deck

We spent most of our fantastic stay at Purana Residence in the beautiful garden, which seamlessly flowed into a lovely sun terrace and infinity pool. The breathtaking views captivated us time and again. The garden features a lush lawn surrounded by tropical plants, while the sun terrace is equipped with umbrellas, tables, and comfortable sunbeds. Attentive staff would occasionally check on us to see if we wanted drinks.

The infinity pool, measuring 20 x 5 meters with a maximum depth of 1.6 meters, offers plenty of fun and relaxation. A swim-up bar sits on the left side of the pool, with the sala featuring an outdoor kitchen and barbecue behind it. The large dining table accommodates eight to ten guests for enjoyable meals, and music can be enjoyed in the garden via the wireless audio system. The children at our wedding had a great time with inflatable flamingos and other toys.

Experience Luxury and Comfort at Villa Purana

The spacious living room seamlessly flows into the modern kitchen in Villa Purana. In the center, there’s a large square table where we gathered every morning. We shared our stories on the comfy white couches late into the night and had a fun chip tasting session with around twenty different flavors from 7-Eleven. In the cozy corner, you’ll find a sleek TV and a sound system. For entertainment, there’s fast and reliable Wi-Fi, so you can fully enjoy Apple TV and an extensive movie collection. There are also games and a small foosball table. For music, you can listen through the Sonos system that’s connected throughout the villa.

Purana Residence, part of Panacea Retreat, is a fantastic villa set on 1,250 m² of lush green grounds. The villa is situated on a hill, offering stunning views over Koh Samui. From our living room or terrace, we could see not only the famous Big Buddha of Samui but also the Stupa of Chaweng and the descending planes for Samui Airport. By the way, all of these locations are no more than a fifteen-minute drive from the villa. Nathon, where most ferries arrive and depart, is a half-hour drive away.

Food and Beverages

The outstanding team assisted us immensely with dinner during our wedding. Not only was the dinner exceptional, but the daily breakfasts were also remarkable. Everyone, both big and small, enjoyed them thoroughly. We found the stocked mini bars in all bedrooms to be very thoughtful and pleasant. They were constantly replenished with water and soft drinks at no extra charge. There were always cookies and nuts available in the modern kitchen—great for satisfying cravings!

Once inside of our beautiful master bedroom, we were able to open all or part of the large windows via an ingenious sliding door system. This makes it possible to create a three-quarter open bedroom. From our bedroom we overlooked the pool and the valley of Bophut (and beyond). Of course, it was possible to close the long blackout curtains all around for privacy. 

Perfect Guest Accommodations for Your Special Guests at Purana Residence

The guest rooms at Purana Residence, located below the living area of Villa Purana, include three spacious bedrooms, each measuring 4.5 x 5.5 meters. Each room features a king-size bed, ample closet space, a comfortable armchair, a flat-screen TV, a small safe, and a minibar. The adjoining bathrooms have a toilet, washbasin, and rain shower. Large sliding glass doors provide views of the garden, terrace, and infinity pool.

Avasara and Atulya are two nearly identical villas, each featuring five bedrooms spread across two different buildings. Naturally, they come with a large swimming pool and excellent living space. Kalya Residence closely resembles Purana Residence, our wedding venue. Purana Residence was our “elite haven,” where we spent several unforgettable nights on Koh Samui. Purana will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Praana Residence

Praana Residence is the crown jewel of Panacea Retreat. This breathtaking villa features six bedrooms, along with its own recreation, spa, and fitness center. It even includes a tennis court and a boxing ring. It was in that boxing ring that we had one of our wedding shoots the morning after our wedding. We thought this was a very fun photo session titled “Our First Fight.”

Panacea Retreat: A perfect location at Koh Samui

The location and area of Panacea Retreat overlook Bophut and part of Koh Samui. Tucked high among various shades of greenery and near Bophut, the most famous fishing village of Koh Samui, lies Purana Residence. Bophut is best known for Fisherman’s Village, a lively night market that you can stroll through at your leisure. Along this long walking street of Koh Samui, you can enjoy delicious snacks and drinks. There are plenty of souvenirs available, and music performances are also held there. It is a vibrant place, located near the complex of Panacea Retreat, where the villa is built.

Options include foot massages, facials, traditional Thai oil massages, and full-body scrubs. The team also organizes excursions, outings, and dinner reservations at some of Koh Samui’s finest restaurants, including those at the local golf course. How to get there

Transportation to and from Koh Samui airport or the pier is included in the villa price. The attentive team at Purana is also available to assist with car rentals or taxi services. In our case, they even handled the shopping for our wedding. The staff was incredibly thoughtful, ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay at this beautiful residence in Samui!
