U Rip Resort Koh Phi Phi: Comfort, Ocean Views & Relaxation at Ton Sai Beach

U Rip Resort is located at the end of Ton Sai Beach. Near the reception and the restaurant, a small stretch of sea is fenced off to allow for safe swimming. Be aware that when the tide is low, part of the sea will be dry. With a few steps and a splash, you can access the large pool. There is also a shallow pool for small children. The restaurant is situated on the beachside, providing you with a sea view at all times.

Ocean view

Because the rooms are located on a hill, you have a beautiful panoramic view. All rooms at the U Rip Resort feature a balcony with seating and overlook the ocean. We stayed in one of the highest rooms, which offered a spectacular view. It was wonderful wake up every morning and enjoy the evenings with a drink! Since the hotel is a bit further from the busy area, you can be assured of a good night’s sleep, which is not guaranteed everywhere on Koh Phi Phi. Want to party? A short evening walk in the sultry air through the shopping streets of Phi Phi will put you right in the middle of the action!

Location

The U Rip Resort on Koh Phi Phi is very easy to find. When you arrive at the pier, someone from the resort is already waiting for you. You can recognize the staff by the sign with the name U Rip Resort. This welcoming gesture is quite nice, especially since it can be busy and hectic at Ton Sai Pier. Your suitcase or backpack is loaded into a car so that you don’t have to carry it yourself; you are on holiday now! From the pier, it’s a ten-minute walk through the pleasant streets of Ton Sai Village, which feature restaurants, massage salons, and souvenir shops.

Near U Rip, you can find the walkway to Long Beach. Long Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Koh Phi Phi and one of our personal favorite places to hang out and relax for a half day. If you walk in the opposite direction, you will head towards Ton Sai Village, the village of Phi Phi Island. Everything is nearby, ensuring you a good night’s sleep.

The Rooms

After checking in, you will be taken to your room in an electric golf cart, as most of the rooms are situated higher up on the hill. If you need to go from your room to the reception, you can call them, and they will pick you up immediately, day or night! We never had to wait longer than a few minutes, and the service was always accompanied by a smile, just like everywhere else in the resort!

We could really tell it was a new resort (we were there in mid-2019). Everything looked neat and brand new. The bed was crisp and clean, and the room featured an air conditioner, kettle, fridge, bathrobes, and even slippers. In addition to free water, there were also a few complimentary snacks that were replenished daily. Service can often be found in small details, and the U Rip Resort understands that very well!

The clean bathroom features a toilet, sink, hair dryer, and walk-in shower. In addition to a standard showerhead, there is also a rain shower. Towels, shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner have all been provided! During our stay at the U Rip Resort on Koh Phi Phi, we have truly missed nothing!
