Ao Noi Beach, Koh Kood

Ao Noi Beach is where you go when less is more. It’s quiet, compact, and effortlessly scenic. Ideal for travelers who value privacy, nature, and a touch of rustic comfort, Ao Noi offers a beach day—or beach stay—that feels deeply personal and wonderfully low-key.

Ao Noi Beach on Koh Kood: A small bay with a big character

Ao Noi Beach might be one of Koh Kood’s smaller coastal stretches, but it punches well above its weight when it comes to charm and character. Nestled against a jungle-covered hillside and fronted by clear blue sea, Ao Noi offers an intimate beach experience that’s equal parts peaceful and picturesque. With just one resort dominating the scene, you’ll feel like you’ve stumbled upon a private corner of the island.

Where on Koh Kood is Ao Noi Beach located?

Ao Noi Beach is located on the northwest coast of Koh Kood, just a few minutes north of the more developed Khlong Chao Beach. Though it’s close to the center of the island’s activity, it feels secluded thanks to its location in a natural cove.

Why should you visit Ao Noi Beach?

Ao Noi is the kind of place you visit when you want simplicity and scenery without the distractions of crowds or shops. The beach is compact, quiet, and embraced by greenery. It’s especially popular among couples looking for privacy, and photographers who come for the long wooden pier that stretches out into the bay.

The beach: massage right on the beach

The beach itself is about 200 meters long, with soft beige sand and plenty of shade from trees along the back. It’s flanked by rocky headlands that frame the cove beautifully. The beach has a natural, almost untouched feel, with only a handful of loungers and hammocks scattered across the sand. The wooden pier, connected to Ao Noi Resort, is a standout feature—ideal for sunbathing, stargazing, or simply walking out over the water. You can also enjoy a massage right on the beach.

The sea: Conditions and swimming

The water here is clean and calm during the dry season (November to April). The gradual slope makes it safe for most swimmers, though the bay can get shallow during low tide. You can snorkel near the rocks, and the visibility is often good enough to spot small reef fish. Outside the dry season, the beach is still swimmable but may have the occasional wave.

How to get to Ao Noi Beach on Koh Kood?

From the arrival pier on Koh Kood, it’s about a 20–25 minute drive to Ao Noi Beach. Most visitors arrive via private transfer or motorbike. The road is well-maintained and passes through a scenic inland section of the island before descending toward the coast.
