Fix25 House Koh Kood – Affordable guesthouse in the heart of western Koh Kood

During our first five nights on Koh Kood, we had three simple wishes: an affordable place, a central location, and a stay that offers exactly what you need for a few days of island calm. Fix25 House exceeded all three the moment we stepped inside to check in.

The warm welcome turned out to be the true highlight. Owners Khun Phim and Khun Tee reminded us once again why we love Thai hospitality so much. Even though this guesthouse is simple, Fix25 House immediately feels like home — relaxed, friendly and pleasantly no-nonsense.

And the best part? Everything you need is arranged with a smile. Need a scooter? Fix25 fixes it! Perfect when you want to explore Koh Kood without any hassle.

Location & Atmosphere

Fix25 House sits in a central yet surprisingly quiet area of Koh Kood, just a few minutes’ ride from Klong Chao Beach. In the direct surroundings you’ll find everything you need: a laundry shop, a small local minimart, and a handful of simple restaurants. Even better: Fix25 House rents out scooters themselves, so you can start exploring the island from day one.

The five rooms sit next to the owners’ small mobile repair shop, with their home above it. It may sound simple — and it is — but that’s exactly what gives this place its charm. The vibe is intimate, super friendly and genuinely service-minded. No five-star luxury here, but that typical Thai warmth that often feels more valuable than any infinity pool.

Fix25 is perfect if you want to spend your days discovering Koh Kood’s beaches, enjoy a good dinner in the evening, and return to a clean, quiet and well-kept room. A place where you truly unwind.

Service & Rooms

The owners of Fix25 House Koh Kood are the kind of people who are always ready to help — always with that beautiful Thai smile. They arranged everything for us: a scooter for several days, a transfer to The Survival by Seudam (our next stay), fresh pantongo for breakfast — a snack you must try — and a few insider tips about the island. This is hospitality in its warmest, most effortless form.

The rooms are simple but surprisingly practical: a comfortable bed, a brand-new air-conditioner that cools in seconds, a clean bathroom, a small desk and a fridge for cold water or snacks. Basic, spotless and exactly what you need when you’re out exploring most of the day. A nice bonus: the WiFi is fast and reliable — ideal for uploading your beach photos or checking the route to your next spot.

Facilities

There’s no on-site restaurant, but directly across the street you’ll find a small local eatery, and right next door is a minimart and a laundry shop. Within a few minutes’ ride, you’ll reach more dining options, and within ten to fifteen minutes you’ll be at some of our Koh Kood favorites: Black Bananas, Gathie Café, Little Nine, and of course Tawan Eco Bar — our ultimate go-to bar on the island.

There also is a small gym called Koh Kood Gym nearby and when you are in need of a massage after a day of exploring there is the super good Mali Massage in just five minutes away, this is a very solid choice, in our opiniion the best massage on the island of Koh Kood!

Each day, Fix 25 House Koh Kood places fresh coffee and tea in your room, and you can always request extra water or towels. For the price you pay, you get a surprising amount of comfort, service and peace. It’s the kind of place where simplicity, friendliness and convenience come together — and your wallet stays happy!

Our conclusion

Fix25 House is an excellent choice if you want to stay simple, clean and affordable on Koh Kood without sacrificing peace, service or friendliness. The bungalows are ideal for couples, solo travellers and anyone who prefers spending their budget on scooters, beaches and delicious food rather than a luxury hotel room.

This is the kind of stay that does exactly what it should: good sleep, warm service and a calm home base. And thanks to the central location, you’re close to everything — from Klong Chao Beach to your favourite restaurant on Koh Kood or sunset spot.

Honestly: when we return to Koh Kood, we’ll stay here again without hesitation — and next time for at least a week. Some places win you over with luxury… Fix25 wins you over with warmth.

Rent a scooter directly at Fix25 House — it turns the island into one big adventure.

The Big Chai Tree and the Makkayuk Tree are massive, ancient trees deep in the jungle of Koh Kood. They’re over 500 years old and hold a special spiritual significance for the Thai people. According to local belief, when a woman passes away on Koh Kood, her spirit is said to go to these trees. You’ll notice several of them wrapped in orange cloth, and on one tree, there was even a dress adorned with flowers. It’s a unique, mystical spot that’s definitely worth a visit if you’re heading to the nearby Huang Nam Waterfall.
