Bailan Beach Koh Chang: Quiet Village, Best Eats & Travel Tips
Bailan Beach is the first beach south of Lonely Beach, yet it remains a peaceful spot. Why is that? Bailan Beach itself doesn’t have a street filled with shops and restaurants, and you won’t find them on the beach either. Bailan Beach is all about tranquility and simply relaxing at your hotel or resort.

A quiet escape: What to expect on Bailan Beach and its small village
Bailan Beach village on Koh Chang isn’t very big, but it has a few restaurants and a small local shop for daily essentials. You’ll also find some travel and tour agencies, a couple of massage and pedicure salons, an ATM, and scooter rentals. Most people spend their time at their hotel or resort.
If you’re up for a beer, there’s a beer garden at the 3 Trees Guest House, where you can also stay overnight. But Bailan Beach stays pretty quiet—bars are few and far between, so it rarely gets loud or wild. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for some peace and quiet.

Best places to eat and drink by the bay
A great spot to grab some food and drinks is the nice Lisca Beach Restaurant. It’s set in a beautiful little bay, making it the perfect place to watch the sunset while sipping on a tasty shake or cocktail. The owners are Thai and Italian, so the menu has a nice mix of both cuisines.
At the other end of the bay, you’ll find The Mangrove Hideaway. This restaurant and great affordable resort features a lovely wooden deck with sea views—ideal for a romantic dinner.
One of the most popular places in the small village is the simple Tamarin. They serve delicious burgers, but most people come here for the authentic Thai dishes they offer.
