During our stay at X10 Khaolak Resort, we treated ourselves to a Deluxe Pool Access Room—and it was everything we hoped for and more. With 36 m² of smartly designed space, a calming atmosphere, and direct pool access from our terrace, this room became our peaceful sanctuary in Khao Lak.

Living & Bedroom Area

The room was spotless upon arrival, with a soothing color palette that made it feel serene and uncluttered. Immediately to the left of the entrance, a large built-in closet offered all the essentials: a safe, two plush bathrobes, slippers, and even an iron and ironing board. Next to it, a handy luggage cabinet and a long dresser with a flat-screen TV and plenty of workspace made unpacking and settling in a breeze.

We slept like royalty thanks to the super-soft bed and perfectly controlled air conditioning. The minibar and kettle allowed us to start our mornings with a quiet cup of coffee or end the day with a refreshing drink on the terrace. While the room also featured a small sofa and coffee table, we barely used them—our spacious terrace was simply too inviting.

Bathroom

Just to the right of the entrance, we found a spotless 4 m² bathroom featuring a large rain shower with great water pressure and easy temperature control—a rare treat in many Thai accommodations. The bathroom was stocked with all the little extras: toothbrushes, a shaving kit, and useful toiletries that made our stay even more comfortable.

Private Terrace with Pool Access

The terrace quickly became our favorite feature. Measuring 6 m², it offered direct access to one of the semi-private pools—a total luxury after a day out exploring. Especially after returning from our overnight trip to the Surin Islands, it was the perfect spot to unwind. Equipped with two sun loungers, a parasol, a small table, and a drying rack, it had everything we needed for lazy afternoons and tranquil evenings under the Thai sun.

Dining at X10 Khaolak was consistently impressive. During our stay, the Seaside Seafood Kitchen was the main dining venue, set between the large pool and the beach. Its open-air terrace offered a breezy, relaxed setting for everything from a lazy lunch to a romantic dinner. Despite the name, the menu extends far beyond seafood and features a mix of international and Thai dishes, all beautifully prepared and packed with flavor.

We especially enjoyed the crispy prawns, a perfectly spiced Penang curry, and a shared brownie that might just be the best we’ve had in Thailand. Another night, we treated ourselves to the “Reef and Beef”—a juicy tenderloin served with Cajun shrimp and all the trimmings. It was fantastic.
