TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao Noi is a hidden paradise at the northern tip of Koh Yao Noi, between Phuket and Krabi. Getting there feels like an adventure, adding to its charm.

We came from Railay, taking a boat to Koh Yao Noi, where the TreeHouse Villas team met us with a private speedboat. The ride through green waters and limestone cliffs was the perfect start to our stay.

If you fly into Phuket or Krabi, the resort offers airport pickup and speedboat transfers from Yacht Haven Marina (Phuket) or Tha Len Pier (Krabi). These run during daylight hours and are best booked ahead. Adventurous travelers can also take public ferries, then enjoy a scenic SUV taxi ride through the national park.

At the resort, you’re surrounded by lush forest, towering limestone cliffs, and 400 meters of private beach. Just 10 km from Koh Yao Noi’s center, the peaceful, remote vibe feels like a true escape. The trip there, by speedboat or ferry, adds to the adventure that defines TreeHouse Villas.

From the moment we arrived at TreeHouse Villas, we felt warmly welcomed. The staff lived up to the resort’s five-star reputation, always helpful and attentive. Whether planning trips, giving kayak tips, or catering to dietary needs, they went above and beyond. We also liked the secret check-in options.

The bar and restaurant staff were especially friendly, serving great food and drinks while sharing tips and stories. The head chef stood out — skilled and generous, he shared his own recipes with us, adding a personal touch.

TreeHouse Villas offers a peaceful, private, and pampering experience just for adults. From room service with free bottled water to a minibar stocked with premium coffee, every detail is designed to enhance your stay.

We also enjoyed the wellness options, like traditional Thai massage and yoga. Doing yoga surrounded by jungle sounds was refreshing and energizing.

Getting to our villa was an adventure, crossing wooden and rope bridges that set the mood. The thatched-roof huts felt both natural and elegant. The highlight was the spiral staircase to the upper floor with a spacious bedroom, bathroom, and private balcony — all with stunning views of Phang Nga Bay. In the evening, soft lighting created a magical, almost cinematic feel.

The villa’s design uses the natural elevation to offer beautiful bay views, whether by the beach or up in the treetops. The layout ensures privacy while showing off the scenery from every angle.

Sustainability is key to the design, using natural and recycled materials. The lower level has an open-air lounge with a private plunge pool, sunbeds, a bar, and outdoor dining. Upstairs, the bedroom suite has a king-sized bed, a cozy sofa, and a balcony where we often relaxed and enjoyed the peaceful views.

A highlight was the luxurious bathroom with a hammock-shaped bathtub, making bath time feel like floating in the treetops. The open shower and walk-in closet added to the spacious, airy feel.

The adults-only policy keeps the vibe quiet and intimate, ideal for couples or anyone wanting peace. With limited activities like kayaking, village tours, and boat trips, the pace is slow and relaxing.

One special moment was watching the sunrise from our balcony. The morning light lit up the resort with vibrant colors reflecting on the bay. Coffee in hand, we enjoyed the peaceful scene — unforgettable.

Hilltop Pool Villa

The most exclusive option is the Hilltop Pool Villa, a spacious 390-square-meter villa at the resort’s highest point. It offers stunning panoramic views and more privacy, with a larger private pool. Like the other villas, it includes a balcony or terrace, separate dining and sitting areas, private pool, air conditioning, fridge, flat-screen TV, and ceiling fan.

Our amazing villa, the Treehouse Villa

Our stay in the Treehouse Villa was truly magical. Crossing a swaying suspension bridge, excitement grew as we approached our secluded retreat surrounded by lush greenery. The two-story design balanced being close to nature with comfort and privacy.

Bedroom and Bathroom upstairs

After climbing the spiral staircase, we reached the upper floor of our TreeHouse Villa and found a luxurious, air-conditioned bedroom. The king-sized bed was perfectly placed to enjoy stunning views through large windows, making us feel instantly relaxed. Settling into the soft bedding, we knew peaceful nights awaited, surrounded by the calming jungle sounds.

Next to the bed, a cozy sofa invited us to relax and enjoy the stunning ocean views from our private balcony. It became our favorite spot for morning coffee, soaking in the peaceful sounds of nature and the wide view of Phang Nga Bay — a memory we’ll treasure for years.

The bathroom was a standout, blending elegance with whimsy. The hammock-shaped bathtub made soaking feel like floating among the treetops. The open shower and roomy vanity added comfort and convenience. A walk-in closet and writing desk finished the space, combining style with function.

The calm bedroom made it hard to leave. We felt suspended between treetops and sky, fully immersed in the peaceful, nature-inspired design.

Living area and private plunge pool downstairs

The downstairs living area of our TreeHouse Villa was made for relaxation. We spent most of our time here, enjoying the smooth flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. The large deck with a private plunge pool was our favorite place to cool off on hot afternoons. Surrounded by jungle sounds, it felt like our own private oasis.

The setup was inviting, with comfy lounge chairs for sunbathing, a swing-seat perfect for morning coffee, and an outdoor dining table for romantic dinners. The open-air design made us feel fully surrounded by nature.

The plunge pool was a highlight — cool and refreshing, ideal for a quick dip after exploring. We loved slipping in to beat the tropical heat and enjoy the peace.

Helpful amenities made the space even better. The stand-up bar, with a mini-fridge and wine cooler, was stocked daily, making it easy to mix a drink or grab something cold. The downstairs toilet was also practical, especially during lazy pool afternoons.

A special treat was the wildlife. We often spotted hornbills nearby, their calls echoing through the trees. These moments made our stay more memorable, deepening the feeling of being in nature.

Every detail downstairs was designed for relaxation. Whether lounging by the pool, enjoying a drink, or taking in the natural beauty, it was the perfect spot to unwind.

A highlight of our stay was visiting Serenity Spa, about 100 meters from the villas, shared with Paradise Koh Yao Resort. Nestled in the jungle, the spa is a peaceful retreat perfect for relaxation. The open-air treatment rooms overlook a calm waterlily pond, adding to the soothing vibe.

The spa’s atmosphere is pure calm, with nature sounds blending with gentle music. Facilities include a herbal steam cave, a waterfall plunge pool to cool off after treatments, and a spa lounge to relax. Daily yoga sessions offer a refreshing way to start or end the day.

We chose an oil massage, one of the best of our 2024/2025 Thailand trip. Skilled therapists used soothing oils and expert techniques that eased all tension. We’ve had great massages at places like PAÑPURI and Let’s Relax Spa, but this one matched or even surpassed those.

We left feeling refreshed and calm, with peace that lasted long after. The mix of skilled therapists, peaceful setting, and thoughtful touches made it unforgettable.

Whether relaxing after exploring or seeking pampering, Serenity Spa is the perfect spot to recharge. It’s a must-try when staying at TreeHouse Villas.

Beachfront infinity pool

We loved the stunning beachfront infinity pool. With breathtaking views of Phang Nga Bay, this shared pool offers some of the best sea views we’ve seen. Open from 07:00 to 19:00, it became our favorite spot to relax, especially at sunrise and sunset when the sky’s colors reflected on the calm water.

The pool’s design matches the views. The infinity edge blends with the horizon, creating the illusion that water flows into the sea. A waterfall grotto adds natural charm and soothing sounds, making the setting even more peaceful. We enjoyed cocktails by the pool, soaking in the calm as the sky changed colors.

For extra relaxation, the nearby herbal steam room is a must. Its calming scents and gentle heat are perfect after exploring or before a swim.

Whether in your villa’s plunge pool or the large infinity pool, relaxation is always close at TreeHouse Villas. The mix of natural beauty and luxury makes every moment by the water special.

Private Beach

TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao Noi stands out with its exclusive 400-meter private beach—a pristine stretch of soft sand that feels like your own tropical paradise. We enjoyed starting mornings with peaceful beach walks, watching the sunrise paint the sky. The soft sand and gentle waves created a calm atmosphere, and finding a comfy spot was easy with the resort’s loungers and umbrellas. Beach service added to the comfort, offering drinks and snacks right where we were.

For adventure, the resort offers free paddle boards and kayaks. We enjoyed exploring the coastline by kayak, gliding past limestone cliffs and hidden coves. Paddling through calm waters with stunning bay views was unforgettable.

Unlike crowded public beaches, this private beach feels secluded and peaceful. Whether sunbathing, swimming, or kayaking, we felt fully immersed in Koh Yao Noi’s natural beauty. It truly adds to the resort’s exclusive, calm vibe.

For active guests, TreeHouse Villas offers many sports and activities. You can rent bikes to explore the island, kayak along the coast, snorkel in clear waters, or try fishing. The resort also has a ping-pong table and badminton facilities. Guided bike and kayak tours are available for those who want a local guide.

We enjoyed kayaking and exploring nearby beaches. It was a fun way to see that part of the island from the water.

The resort offers on-site watersports, including snorkeling gear and kayaks. Guests can explore the bay or join guided snorkeling trips to nearby islands. The free longtail boat trip to Koh Pak Bia is highly recommended, though national park entrance fees apply.

Roots Restaurant & Lounge, next to the reception and pool, is the dining hub of TreeHouse Villas. It offers a relaxed but refined experience with stunning sea views. The open-air setting suits the mix of Thai and international dishes, all made with fresh, local ingredients.

Our mornings began with a daily buffet breakfast—a generous spread of tropical fruits, fresh juices, pastries, and hearty egg dishes. Traditional Thai favorites were always available. The rich, aromatic coffee was a highlight, and the variety of jams offered something for every taste.

One evening, we had a memorable dinner with a couple from Innsbruck, sharing starters like juicy prawns, carpaccio, and crispy spring rolls. For mains, we enjoyed perfectly cooked lamb and flavorful massaman curry, and also tried the delicious chicken cashew from our table guests—very tasty! A special surprise from the chef was “stir-fried melinjo leaves with egg,” a healthy and tasty Thai dish everyone should try. We ended the night sharing a delicious brownie with ice cream and mango panna cotta.

We also loved unwinding in the lounge area, sipping expertly crafted cocktails after a day of exploring. Open until 23:00, it became our favorite spot for a nightcap and a bit of relaxation.

Special events at Roots

During our stay, we enjoyed a special gathering at Roots. On our second evening, we were invited for cocktails and canapés before dinner—a nice chance to meet other guests and chat with the TreeHouse team. It was a great way to feel part of the resort community.

Sundowners Bar

Sundowners Bar, right on the beach, is a popular spot for evening cocktails. Shared by TreeHouse Villas and nearby Paradise Koh Yao Resort, it offers a relaxed vibe with stunning sea views. Known for creative drinks like Mango Passion Mojito and classic Pina Colada, it’s perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Live music on some evenings adds to the chill beach atmosphere.
