Gong Wu Shrine, Bangkok
This remarkable temple in Bangkok was built over 200 years ago. Even from the water, you can see how stunning the wood carvings are! The temple was founded by a Hokkien Chinese who followed King Taksin to what was then the new capital, Thon Buri. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, Kuan Yin. It’s located right next to Wat Kalayanamitr.
Visitor information:
You can get there by taking the ferry from Rajchawongse Pier to Din Daeng Cross River Ferry. Entry is free.
