Located on top of the SKYVIEW Hotel Bangkok, it offers stunning 360-degree views, signature cocktails, and a chic atmosphere. At the top, you’ll find a bright green artificial grass floor (added in 2022) and a cozy rooftop terrace. Vanilla Sky Bar holds about 60 guests with comfy lounge sofas and stylish high tables with bar stools. The main feature is a round bar with soft neon lights, and the nearby DJ booth plays chill electronic and lounge music. The vibe is casual but classy—great for sunset drinks or a night out in Bangkok.

Vanilla Sky Bar is on Sukhumvit Soi 24, a short walk from Phrom Phong BTS Station. In the EM District, it’s close to luxury malls like EmQuartier and Emporium and overlooks peaceful Benjasiri Park. Inside the SKYVIEW Hotel, go through the lobby, take the elevator to the 35th floor, then a short staircase to the rooftop.

From its high spot on the 35th floor, Vanilla Sky Bar offers panoramic views of Sukhumvit and Phrom Phong. You can see lush Benjasiri Park, the glowing luxury malls, and the wide skyline reaching downtown Bangkok. The sunset is especially stunning, with golden light reflecting off the skyscrapers.

Ambiance & Atmosphere

Vanilla Sky Bar has a perfect mix of relaxed and lively vibes. A DJ plays electronic and lounge music, setting an upscale but friendly mood. It’s a great spot to relax with friends, enjoy a cocktail, and let the evening flow.

Hospitality

From the moment you arrive, expect warm Thai hospitality. The staff are friendly, attentive, and eager to help you find the best seat—especially for watching the sunset. During our visit, we were welcomed with genuine smiles and quickly led to a great viewing spot.

Though small, the food menu is tempting. When we visited, there were 13 creative dishes like grilled scallops with mango salsa, giant pasta shells with butter chicken, and Wagyu beef conchiglie. For dessert, there’s crème brûlée for those with a sweet tooth. Some dishes are shared with MOJJO Rooftop Lounge & Bar below.

Drinks

Vanilla Sky Bar offers about 20 cocktails, including 8 signature drinks. Try the Vanilla Sky (gin, vanilla syrup, lime, pineapple juice) or the Yorsang (vodka, lychee, guava, grenadine, lime). Classics like Negronis, Long Island Iced Teas, and Piña Coladas are also on the menu. Non-drinkers can enjoy fresh juices, sodas, or one of three mocktails: Little Queen, Apple Mint, or Lychee Soda.

What did we order at Vanilla Sky Rooftop Bar in Bangkok?

During our brief visit, we enjoyed the Vanilla Sky and Yorsang cocktails—both balanced and nicely presented. Just as we were about to order food, a sudden rain shower cut the evening short. Luckily, we moved down to MOJJO Rooftop Lounge & Bar, which has a covered area and keeps the rooftop vibe going.
