The rooftop bar itself
Tulum Sky Bar covers the whole 29th floor, offering clear 360-degree views of Bangkok’s skyline. It’s an open-air, jungle-themed space with comfy rattan seats, reclaimed wood, and tropical plants. The central bar, featuring natural textures and soft lighting, is the main highlight.
Tulum is more than a bar—it’s a vibe. From sunset to midnight, live DJs play deep house and Latin beats. Special nights include jungle-style shows with pole dancers, fire performers, and Latin acts. A retractable canopy lets the party continue, rain or shine.

Architecture & Design
Tulum Sky Bar blends Tulum, Mexico’s relaxed vibe with Bangkok’s city views. It features natural materials like hand-carved wood, woven fabrics, rattan, rough stone, and soft lighting to create a beachy jungle feel. A unique sculpture by Khun Nueng, inspired by Mayan and Aztec designs, adds an artistic touch.
Warm Edison bulbs, hand-painted murals, macramé, and tropical plants mix with neon lights to create a boho-urban vibe. Mövenpick Ekkamai’s modern high-rise contrasts well with the rustic decor. Built in 2017, it offers one of the highest rooftop views in the area.
Ambiance & Atmosphere
Here, tropical beach vibes meet Bangkok nightlife. Sunset drinks turn into lively late-night dancing, shifting smoothly from chill to party. The crowd is diverse—designers, digital nomads, influencers, and local insiders.
The vibe is stylish yet relaxed, with “sea island energy” in the city center. It’s popular for special events, casual nights, and everything else. Whether sipping mezcal from a tiki mug or dancing to Afro beats, Tulum feels like a getaway—without leaving Sukhumvit.

What did we order at Tulum Skybar in January 2025?
We had an amazing night at Tulum! After a long, hot visit to the Erawan Museum, we planned to relax with a drink—but as soon as we entered Tulum, we felt energized. The vibe was lively, the staff friendly, and the food and cocktails outstanding.
We started with two signature cocktails: the Passion Totem—Smirnoff Vodka, Absinthe, Apricot Liqueur, Vanilla Syrup, Passion Fruit, and Lime—and the Monkey Elixir, a fun mix of Monkey Shoulder, Frangelico, popcorn, and ginger ale. Both were delicious, and we’d return just for these.

We stayed for dinner, starting with the Seared Tuna Salad—fresh and light with a citrusy orange dressing—and the Shrimp Tacos, filled with juicy shrimp and Tulum’s spicy house sauce. A perfect match after those cocktails!

Next, we tried two more great drinks: the Rosé Rendezvous and the Bloody Maya. Big thanks to the mixologist—these were creative, complex, and perfectly balanced.

For mains, we shared the Wagyu A4 150g with grilled veggies, creamy spinach, and mashed potatoes. We also had Lobster Penne, featuring Canadian lobster in a rich bisque. Both dishes were restaurant-quality—not what you expect at most rooftop bars, but Tulum is special. The chef and team do a great job!

We ended with Mango Sticky Rice Tart and Churros served with vanilla ice cream, cinnamon, blueberries, and dark chocolate dip. Simply good.

Of course, we had to try more cocktails—yes, we ordered the Passion Totem and Monkey Elixir again (they’re that good), plus the Pandan Delight and Aztec Fire to finish the night. Each drink was a flavor adventure.

Come early, enjoy dinner, stay for the drinks, and dance into the early hours. This spot is full of energy, flavor, and creativity—and it’s officially one of our favorite nights out in Bangkok.
