If you’ve been visiting rooftop bars in Bangkok, don’t miss Spectrum Lounge & Bar. Hidden high above Sukhumvit, this stylish bar surprised us in every way. Even after visiting over twenty rooftop bars, we only found Spectrum in January 2022—and wished we’d come sooner. With great views and upscale dining, it quickly made our top ten. Here’s why.

Spectrum’s sky bar spans three levels: the 29th floor has a stylish indoor lounge and outdoor terrace; the 30th floor offers a large rooftop bar with live DJs; and the 31st floor, reached by a small elevator, features a grand open-air area with a big round bar and great views. When we visited in January 2022, not all floors were open, but what we saw made a strong impression.

It’s close to BTS Nana Station, just a short walk away, so you can easily get there by Skytrain, GRAB, tuk tuk, or MuvMi. Located between the lively Nana and Asok areas, Spectrum is ideal for locals and visitors to enjoy city views from above.

The views from Spectrum Lounge & Bar are stunning. Guests can see wide views of Bangkok’s skyline, including Nana, Asok, and Sathorn. At golden hour, the city glows softly, and at night, twinkling lights stretch far. From our spot, we saw Benjakitti Park and famous skyscrapers. This skyline is a treat for sky bar fans.

Spectrum features a sleek, modern design that blends luxury with comfort. Inside, a dramatic entrance and open kitchen lead to a lounge with plush seats and soft lighting. The rooftop has stylish outdoor furniture—loungers, high stools, and cozy sofas—surrounded by tropical plants and modern lights. The 31st floor’s round bar stands out with its panoramic setup, inviting you to relax and enjoy.

Ambiance & Atmosphere

Whether for a date, celebration, or hanging out with friends, Spectrum’s vibe fits the mood. Soft music shifts to live jazz or DJ sets as the night goes on. Though in the city, the rooftop feels peaceful, especially at sunset. Comfortable seats, low lighting, and a gentle breeze create the perfect setting for a memorable evening.

Hospitality

From the moment we stepped out of the elevator, friendly staff greeted us warmly. They eagerly showed us to our reserved spot and stayed attentive without being intrusive. We even talked with the mixologist, who made us two custom cocktails. Every interaction felt genuine and personal—real hospitality.

Food

Spectrum’s kitchen focuses on Italian-inspired fine dining. Starters include crispy calamari, charcuterie boards, and artisanal cheeses. Main dishes feature pasta like Truffle Carbonara and premium cuts like Australian Angus beef, plus vegetarian and seafood options. Desserts include Italian favorites like tiramisu and gelato for a sweet finish.

Beverage

Spectrum offers a wide, carefully chosen drink menu. Signature cocktails like “Kiss Me Now” and “Sex on the Roof” are made with skill and style. You’ll find premium spirits, wines by glass or bottle, mocktails, and local and international beers. The bartenders are happy to make custom drinks if you want to try something new.

What did we ordered in January 2022?

We began the evening with two cocktails: “Kiss Me Now,” a refreshing mix of gin, cranberry, and pineapple juice, and “Sex on the Roof,” a stronger blend of rum, Cointreau, Campari, and orange juice.

For snacks, we shared crispy calamari with a tangy avocado chili mayo—delicious! For dinner, we enjoyed a grilled 200g Angus tenderloin and rich Spaghetti Truffle Carbonara. Dessert was Italian gelato and tiramisu, and we ended the night with two surprise cocktails made by the mixologist.
