SIN, Bangkok
SIN Rooftop Bar, Bangkok’s ultimate hotspot on the 27th floor of Avani+ Riverside. With breathtaking views over the Chao Phraya, refined cocktails, and a stylish atmosphere, SIN offers a unique blend of allure and elegance. Perfect for an evening full of flavor, music, and unforgettable moments high above the city.

SIN Rooftop Bar: Temptation at altitude
SIN opened in late 2024 on the 27th floor of the Avani+ Riverside Bangkok, the flagship hotel of the Avani family within the Minor Hotels group. The entire experience revolves around a single theme: sin and desire. We were there too briefly to fully take it in, but it is certainly a stunning rooftop bar.
Where many of Bangkok’s well-known skybars sit on the city side, SIN instead looks back at the city, with the Chao Phraya winding through it like a ribbon. You see the skyline here from a completely different perspective. Thanks to that position, the view stretches across almost 180 degrees of water: a remarkable panorama over the river and over Bangkok itself.
Years ago we already settled in at SEEN, which occupies this same rooftop by day and in the early evening. After sunset, that space transforms into SIN. When we planned a revisit to SEEN for April 2026, it was finally time to stop by SIN as well, for something delicious high above the Chao Phraya.

Where in Bangkok is SIN located?
SIN sits on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya, on Charoen Nakhon Road, atop the Avani+ Riverside Bangkok. The location is not central, but it combines perfectly with a day of shopping at ICONSIAM. From ICONSIAM, shuttle boats run every half hour, from 12.25 to 20.25. For the way back from SIN, a taxi, Grab or Bolt is your best bet.
Expect some travel time to or from Sukhumvit or Silom. But those who make the effort are rewarded: a wonderful view over the river and serious cocktails.

Design
SIN shares its rooftop with SEEN Restaurant & Bar, which sits one floor below. The two combine perfectly: first dinner at SEEN, then up for a drink and a dance at SIN. The space covers more than five hundred square metres and is deliberately kept intimate, with room for around 80 seated or 180 standing guests. A striking, raised DJ booth forms the beating heart and keeps the energy stylishly flowing, without drowning out conversation at the table.
The design plays out its theme subtly but convincingly. The eye-catcher is the golden wall behind the bar, with a vast relief of graphic symbols in which a red-lit DJ booth bearing the SIN logo glows like an altar.

Around it, the tone is more restrained: basket-woven armchairs in dark rattan, red cushions, loose ottomans and graphic black-and-white scatter cushions, with a small lamp on each table lending the terrace a warm glow. The palette of black, gold and red never clashes in a forced way and keeps modern and classic neatly in balance.
The real star is the view: a nearly unobstructed panorama over the Chao Phraya, with the skyline on the far bank, the Asiatique Ferris wheel and the temple roofs glowing in the dusk. Sleek, polished and clearly aimed at the upper segment.

Service
About the service we can be clear: professional and warm in equal measure. Questions about the cocktails and the location were answered with a smile, and we got the feeling the interest was genuine. That became clear when we mentioned we were heading to Wan Lai, the final day of Songkran in Phra Pradaeng, about ten days after the well-known Songkran dates. We were immediately given a string of tips: how best to get there, and what we should and shouldn’t do that day.

SIN’s Atmosphere
The evening thus has two faces. Early on, around opening time, SIN is relaxed and made for the sunset. Later, when the DJ hits their stride, the tone shifts to lively and outspoken, with disco and techno beats filling the rooftop floor. Those seeking calm choose the first time slot; those seeking buzz, the second.
Because we had arranged to meet downstairs at SEEN Restaurant & Bar, we were there as early as 18.30. It was a cloudy day and we had the whole rooftop to ourselves. So we can say little about the atmosphere on a busy night, but one thing is certain: we will be back when the evening is truly underway. And we are curious, very curious.

Who we think SIN Rooftop Bar in Bangkok is for
SIN suits anyone who loves a stylish, night-out-oriented evening with flair: couples looking for a romantic or festive occasion, groups of friends ready to head into the night, and travellers who want to crown their Bangkok visit with a memorable, alternative rooftop experience. The minimum age is 18 and the dress code is smart casual with closed shoes.

SIN Artists
SIN also offers a window onto what’s new and what’s next in music, with a star-studded line-up of local and international DJs sending their beats out over the city. A mainstay is Mikey Mike, whose career began at an open-air rave in 1991, where he stepped in at the last minute as a support act for Moby. Since then he has grown into a world-class DJ who has played iconic clubs in Bangkok, Las Vegas and San Francisco. His sound leans on deep house and techno, with refined mixes and an idiosyncratic flair.
Then there is Decantes, an emerging talent from the Belgian house and techno scene, hailing from Antwerp. As a producer and DJ, he channels his creativity into compelling deep-techno tracks. On stage he stands out for his infectious energy and joy, effortlessly bringing the dance floor to life. A seasoned world traveller and clubber who, like no other, knows how to spark a party and keep the crowd moving all night long.

Food @ SIN
SIN’s menu is compact but unmistakably luxurious, with a strong fondness for Japanese produce and seafood. On the cold side, Gillardeau oysters take pride of place, alongside Oscietra or Huso Dauricus caviar and a fine board of French charcuterie and cheeses.
The appetisers read like a treat for the connoisseur: a Miyazaki wagyu tartare with Hokkaido uni, a ceviche with hamachi, lobster and caviar, and a tostada with Alaskan king crab. Look further and you’ll find sashimi and nigiri platters, and chef’s specials such as the slow-cooked wagyu short rib, grilled tiger prawns with mole, and Miyazaki A5 wagyu by the gram.
Vegetarians and vegans are not forgotten, with truffle risotto, a vegan taco and a tagliatelle aglio e olio among the options. You finish on a sweet note, for instance with the coconut bounty churros or the golden caviar chocolate. Not cheap, but the quality looks every bit the part.

Tip
Love good wine? Try Gran Monte from Khao Yai, Thailand! This delicious wine is also served here and tastes fantastic.
Beverages @ SIN
In the glass lies the heart of SIN. The cocktail menu was created by head mixologist Brian Gonzalez Fernandez, who learned his trade at The Ned in London and Grupo Dani García in Spain. Ten signature cocktails each revolve around a form of temptation, with local produce, Asian accents and artful garnishes.
The hero trilogy sets the tone: Forbidden Nectar with bourbon, miso and caramel, the fresh Kiss of Euphoria on a tequila base with kiwi and Cointreau, and the creamy Midnight SIN with cognac, whiskey, cacao and cold coconut coffee.
Non-drinkers miss out on nothing: five of the ten cocktails are also available alcohol-free as fully fledged Sober Sips. There is also a row of classics such as the Paloma and the Gimlet, and a surprisingly broad spirits cabinet with grappa, pisco, absinthe, Taiwanese single malt and Japanese whisky.

Our SIN experience during our stay at Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel (late April 2026)
As mentioned earlier, our evening began at SIN and ended at SEEN, the big brother of the intimate, mysterious little sister on the roof of the Avani+ Riverside Bangkok. On arrival we were guided to a comfortable sofa with a view over the city. From our table we looked out over the lights of Bangkok and the horizon slowly turning dark.
We started with the Watermelon Granita Spritz, a tempting presence on the menu: watermelon granita with Japanese melon, Ketel One vodka, red wine vinegar and champagne, served like a freshly scooped sorbet in a coupe. A drink clearly made for the Bangkok heat, playful and refreshing at once, with light, fruity notes that matched the warm weather seamlessly.
A nice touch: the champagne was poured at the table, and because we were the first guests of the evening, I was given a glass of bubbles on the house, a Ruinart no less. A generous, hospitable gesture that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

On recommendation we ordered the SIN Mystery Box, one of the menu’s eye-catchers and a fun way to discover several of the kitchen’s creations in one go. This Japanese surprise box is presented spectacularly with dry ice, a mysterious veil of mist slowly lifting to reveal its contents. Among other things, we tasted a selection of refined bites, including salmon sashimi, hamachi with fish roe and wagyu.

It’s not only the presentation that impresses; the flavours, too, are surprisingly layered and carefully built up. It’s the kind of dish that briefly pulls your attention away from the stunning view to what’s happening on the table. Playful, theatrical and entirely in keeping with SIN’s character, while also being a lovely choice to share.
Finally, we ordered two more cocktails. One we left to the SIN mixologist to compose as a surprise; the other was the Forbidden Nectar, with Michter’s bourbon, miso and caramel. A fine finish, because it was time to descend to SEEN.

Our conclusion
SIN proves that a rooftop bar doesn’t have to be all about the view. Of course the panorama over the Chao Phraya and the skyline is impressive, especially once the city is fully lit. But where many rooftop bars lean on that alone, SIN has more to offer: well-crafted cocktails, dishes of real quality, and a service that is relaxed and professional at the same time. Here it’s about the complete experience.
For anyone who wants to experience Bangkok in style, the combination may well be one of the city’s most enjoyable rooftop evenings: first the golden evening sun over the river at SEEN, then the mysterious mood of SIN, where the night slowly comes to life. The best of both worlds, on a single rooftop.
We ourselves were too early and there too briefly to really savour the evening atmosphere, but we saw enough to be sure: we will return when the DJ is spinning and the terrace is full. And we are curious, very curious.
