Piscari Rooftop Restaurant & Bar: A Mediterranean evening, 23 floors up, that lingers long after
Our first night at Andaz One Bangkok was a hit from the moment we arrived. We had only checked in a few hours earlier and there we were, already up on the 23rd floor at Piscari, the Mediterranean rooftop that opened in late 2025 and has since been called one of the most talked-about new addresses on this side of Bangkok by pretty much everyone. After this evening, we understand exactly why.
We had reserved a table outside on the terrace, with the skyline on one side and Lumphini Park on the other. We started with a few delightful cocktails, quickly followed by two starters to share, more cocktails, and two main courses. We rounded off the evening with dessert, a live performance that made the night complete, and the kind of warm company we keep thinking back to.
One visit wasn’t enough. We’ll definitely be back.

Where in Bangkok is Piscari Rooftop Restaurant & Bar located?
Piscari is located on the 23rd floor of Andaz One Bangkok, the brand-new Hyatt lifestyle hotel inside the One Bangkok complex, directly opposite Lumphini Park. You won’t easily find a nicer perch above the city in this corner of Bangkok.
Easy to reach? Absolutely! MRT Lumphini is literally beneath the complex. An underground passage takes you from platform to lobby in about six minutes. From BTS Phloen Chit (exit 2) it’s a relaxed half-hour stroll, or you can hop on the free One Bangkok EV shuttle at Mahatun Plaza. Just landed at Suvarnabhumi? With Grab, Bolt or a regular taxi, you’ll be downstairs in 30 to 45 minutes, traffic permitting.
Tip
Make a whole afternoon of it. A walk through Lumphini Park, a couple of hours strolling the One Bangkok shopping mall, and then up to Piscari for a cocktail around sunset.

The hotel entrance is on the One Bangkok plaza. Once inside, you can take the express lift directly up to floor 23. Or, you can choose to stop via the Lobby floor, where you arrive in the spectacular lobby of Andaz One Bangkok, a space worth lingering in. From there, a second lift takes you straight up to floor 23.

Architecture & (interior) design
Piscari was designed by Paradigm Shift, a Thai interior studio that has already left its signature on countless dining addresses across Bangkok. The concept goes by its lovely philosophy “Live Daily Life With Spirit” and draws inspiration from the rhythm of a Mediterranean coastal village. On arrival, you walk through flowing blue gradient curtains that mimic the movement of the sea, a kind of threshold that, for the duration of the evening, pulls you out of Bangkok and into an imagined harbour town.
The main space is built around the idea of a Piazza, a central square where people gather. At its heart stands the open bar, a free-standing structure of travertine and brass, entirely devoted to the Aperitivo philosophy. Along the east side runs the open kitchen, looking out over the dining room. This is also where you’ll find the Gourmet Library, a chef’s counter where you can sit all the way around and watch your dishes being prepared live. If you enjoy a bit of theatre with your meal, this is the place.
The materials tell a refined story. Light natural stone floors, walnut panelling, marble tables with polished edges, and brass accents that reflect warmly under the dimmed lighting. The whole place breathes calm, but with enough character to stay interesting.

The outdoor terrace has been kept deliberately intimate. A handful of tables with benches or chairs, and that’s it. The view more than makes up for the size. You look straight out over the green expanse of Lumphini Park, with the Bangkok skyline as a backdrop. At sunset, it’s at its most beautiful.
Tip
If you want to dine on the terrace, book in advance and specifically request “outdoor seating”. Especially for a sunset table, this is the difference between a good evening and a great one.

While we were enjoying our cocktails outside, a friendly server let us in on a secret: somewhere inside the venue, there’s a hidden speakeasy, a small bar that only opens for those in the know. The space is inspired by the Blue Grotto of Capri, the famous sea cave where the light reflects blue off the water onto the walls. That effect has been recreated here with deep blue tones, polished surfaces, and dimmed mirrors that give you the feeling of sipping below sea level.
We’ve saved Piscari’s speakeasy for our next visit. Just ask at arrival, and the staff will happily point the way.

Piscari’s atmosphere and guests
During golden hour, between five and half past six, Piscari feels like an Italian aperitivo. The crowd is mostly hotel guests and a handful of couples coming in from outside. The music is melodic and lounge-like, and the attention is mainly on the view.
From seven onwards, the tempo shifts into what Piscari calls its Supper Club mode. The large indoor space fills up and a DJ starts spinning every early evening.
The crowd is international and city-driven. Bangkok expats, Thai pleasure seekers and of course, hotel guests from Andaz One Bangkok itself. The dress code is smart casual. Slippers, tank tops, swimwear, and gym wear are not allowed.

Service & Hospitality
Service at Piscari, just like in the rest of the hotel, is flawless. The team works in unmistakable Andaz style: warm and informal, personal and with a sense of humour, but with the kind of professionalism that comes from real experience.
There aren’t many rooftop locations where we’ve had such a genuinely good time with the staff as at Piscari. You can just tell this is a team that enjoys working together and wants their guests to have a great time.

Food & Drinks @ Piscari Rooftop Restaurant & Bar
The kitchen is led by French Chef Marc Vasseur, a man who earned his stripes in the Michelin-starred restaurants in London at l’Atelier Robuchon in London and at Côte by Mauro Colagreco in Bangkok. His approach is straightforward: fresh, simple, and letting the ingredients do the talking. The menu is built for sharing, with many dishes available in both small and large versions. Ideal if you, like us, love to keep passing plates around the table.
The pastry section deserves its own paragraph. In our review of Andaz One Bangkok we already touched on it: the sweet selection at breakfast in this hotel is among the very best we’ve come across in Bangkok. The beauty of it is that the same top team handles the desserts at Piscari. Unfortunately we didn’t quite manage to try it this time, but the Pistachio Mille-feuille is said to be the real signature. So, next time. It’s already on the list.
On the drinks side, Piscari keeps things deliberately curated. About ten signature cocktails, complemented by the classics, and a wine list that leans firmly on Southern European regions. No menu you have to flip through for ten minutes, but a selection that clearly someone has thought hard about. The cocktail philosophy follows the Aperitivo idea. Fresh, herbaceous, not too sweet, and designed to set the stage for what hopefully turns into a long evening of food, drinks, and good company.

Our Piscari experience in April 2026
And yes, our evening turned into exactly that. We arrived just after 5.30 on the 23rd floor, with the advice from the friendly front desk staff still fresh in our minds: make sure you’re on the terrace before sunset. He had already reserved a table for us and passed on our outdoor preference. By the time we came up, a beautiful table was waiting. And that first moment, stepping out onto the terrace and seeing the skyline next to Lumphini Park open up in front of us, honestly felt like the same “WOW!” we’d had earlier that day when we walked into our Park View Deluxe room.

We ordered two signature cocktails to make the most of the sun slowly slipping behind the skyline. The Honey & Hemlock arrived first: whisky, Amaro Averna, wild honey, and a Campari foam on top. The whisky brings warmth, Amaro Averna that typically Italian herbal depth, and the wild honey rounds it all off with a soft sweetness. A layered cocktail, perfect for easing into a long evening.
Alongside it, and how could we not during golden hour, the Paloma d’Oro. Tequila, Suze, vanilla, grapefruit, a pinch of saline, and Mediterranean tonic. This is the Paloma as Piscari’s mixologist makes it: fresher, more herbaceous, and with a golden hue that lives up to its name. The Suze brings a light bitterness from the French Alps, the vanilla softens the sharper edges, and that saline lifts every flavour just a touch. Dangerously drinkable, and absolutely the cocktail to start with while the sun is still hanging over Lumphini Park.

With cocktails on the table, our dinner at Piscari had officially begun. First came a selection of cold cuts, including the house-made pâté en croûte, cured ham, and several other charcuterie items, served with sourdough bread and a small bowl of pickled vegetables. A solid board, well prepared, but without much in the way of surprises. The Tuna Tartare, on the other hand, was a fantastic starter. The soft tuna got just that touch of bite from the tapioca, while the avocado brought a creamy counterweight to the crunch and tied the whole thing together beautifully. A dish we wouldn’t hesitate to order again.

For our first main, we went for the Mussel ‘Marinière’, a pot of mussels of excellent quality, naturally served with a portion of fries. For a moment we thought of our favourite terrace back in the Netherlands, where we occasionally share a pot of mussels. A familiar feeling, and a pretty special one to share around a hundred metres above Bangkok, with Lumphini Park, the loveliest park in the city, at our feet.
Our second main dish was the heavyweight of the menu: the Charcoal Grilled Australian Rib-Eye of 250 grams, with padrón peppers, fries, and a house-made béarnaise. The meat arrived beautifully sliced, perfectly medium-rare, with that deep smoky note from the charcoal and the kind of crispy crust you only get when the grill is properly hot. The béarnaise was classic and buttery, the padrón peppers added that light bitter kick that a rib-eye always benefits from.
We added two sides, on the staff’s recommendation, that complemented the meat nicely. Since we already had fries with the mussels, instead of another portion we went for the Crushed Potato with rosemary. Rustic and hearty, with potatoes that crumbled just enough to soak up all the flavours. To be honest, maybe a touch too peppery, but that didn’t stop us from finishing the plate. The Charred Broccolini with pine nuts and preserved lemon brought exactly the freshness and light bitterness that a rich meal like this needs. The charred edges, the crunchy pine nuts, and that sharp preserved lemon made a killer combination.

For dessert, we let the staff steer us, and that choice paid off. Our attentive server first pointed us toward the house bestseller, the Pistachio Mille-feuille, but since Ilonka is an incorrigible chocolate mousse lover, we changed our order at the last minute. The 70% Chocolate Mousse with chocolate sauce and biscotti was intensely flavoured, and thanks to that high cocoa percentage, never too sweet. The biscotti gave it exactly the crispy bite that a creamy preparation like this needs. A wonderful dessert.
But the real showstopper, and in our books the winner of the dessert showdown, was the dessert our server had originally recommended: the Coupe Plombières. A classic from the French ice cream repertoire, with a history that goes back to the nineteenth century. Piscari’s version stays true to the essence: creamy vanilla ice cream paired with rum and raisins. A dessert to share between two, eaten slowly, spoon by spoon, with the flavour of rum and sweet raisins coming through in every bite. A real must-try.

The Pistachio Mille-feuille is moving to next time. Because we’ll be back at Piscari, that’s beyond any doubt.

Daniel Park
By this point it had gone completely dark outside, so we moved indoors for a coffee and a nightcap. We had just heard that a special performance was about to begin from Daniel Park, a one-man show that, according to the staff, we really couldn’t miss. They were right. What a find.
Daniel plays both an acoustic guitar & electric violin, complete with effect pedals, and somehow manages to sing remarkably well at the same time, with that easy charisma you need to hold an entire room with a single instrument. He played and sang well-known hits from a wide range of artists, and the clever part was that his show came with an app where guests could request songs themselves. We threw in what we thought was a tricky one: ‘Retrograde’ by James Blake, a track that isn’t exactly a household name. Daniel stared into the distance for a moment, listened briefly, thought it through for a few seconds, and then played and sang it back almost flawlessly.
What makes him so special is his approach. A little à la Jamie Lidell, who records his own voice and instruments live on stage and then loops them back into the track as samples. The result is that every number sounds personal, layered, and unique to that exact moment. A clever way to build a full soundscape with just one person.
If Daniel ever performs in the Netherlands, we’ll definitely be there. Check out his work and tour dates at danielparkmusic.com.
Note
Daniel Park did a limited time performance; in other words he was a guest artist at Piscari for several weeks. A traveling star who moves from country to country to share his musical talent with everyone. This says a lot about Andaz One Bangkok, where Piscari is part of: they embrace creativity.

Our Conclusion
Piscari is exactly what Bangkok needs right now. Not a rooftop coasting on its view, but one that delivers across the board: a kitchen that understands how hard simplicity is, a cocktail list that picks quality over quantity, a design that breathes warmth without pretension, and a team that has made hospitality its signature. Add to that the view over Lumphini Park, an unexpectedly brilliant live performance, and that distinctly Andaz blend of international polish and Thai warmth, and you have an evening that keeps glowing for days.
Who is it for? For couples on a date, for groups of friends who love to share (food just as much as conversation), and for solo travellers who appreciate a good barstool and passionate mixologists. And certainly also for anyone curious to discover what the brand-new Andaz One Bangkok brings to this corner of the city. Piscari is a fantastic first introduction. We’ll be back. For the Pistachio Mille-feuille, for the speakeasy, and most of all, for an evening that could very well turn out just as special all over again.
