One of the best parts of our stay at Park Hyatt Bangkok was having a sky bar just an elevator ride away. High above the busy streets of Phloen Chit, the Penthouse Rooftop Bar offered stunning views of Bangkok’s skyline without leaving the hotel. The rooftop bar is part of the Penthouse Grill + Bar on floors 34 to 36 of the hotel. The Penthouse Rooftop Bar is cozy and intimate—not like the big Bangkok sky bars. It has low round tables, comfy chairs, and a bar made of teak and slate. Tropical plants and potted trees add a fresh feel, while streetlamp-style lights give it charm. It’s stylish but also warm and welcoming.

Architecture & Design

Designed by NYC’s AvroKO, the interior draws inspiration from upscale penthouses in Chicago and New York. Each floor has its own style but blends smoothly with the others. The rooftop has a modern, urban lounge vibe—sophisticated but relaxed. There’s no flashy gold or glowing LED furniture—just timeless design and details that make you feel like you’re in a private club above the city.

Ambiance & Atmosphere

Penthouse Rooftop Bar feels cozy and intimate thanks to its small size and neat design. During our visit, most guests were hotel visitors or local professionals—no crowds or noise. There was soft music, elegant lighting, and a vibe like a hidden spot in the sky.

Hospitality

As expected from Park Hyatt, the service is excellent. The staff at Penthouse Rooftop Bar are professional and friendly, genuinely caring about guests. Our server explained the complex cocktails and even surprised us with a special off-menu drink. Everything was relaxed and natural. Service gets a perfect 10—Park Hyatt knows how to do it right.

Menu, what to eat and drink at Penthouse Rooftop Bar?

Food

The rooftop bar doesn’t offer a full dinner menu, but you can order some bites from the Penthouse Grill + Bar below. On this visit, the highlight was a surprise: a Spanish-style pastry filled with creamy vanilla-hazelnut, similar to a sweet treat from Mallorca. It was a gift and went perfectly with our last cocktail.

Beverage

This is where Penthouse Rooftop Bar stands out. The menu includes a special list of “Penthouse Highlights” and Bartender’s Selection cocktails, all made with skill and creativity. You’ll also find classic cocktails, fine wines, mocktails, and quality spirits.

What did we ordered?

We dove right into the “Penthouse Highlights” with two signature cocktails:

• Catalonia Calling – A bold, aromatic mix featuring Xoriguer gin, sherry, carrot shrub, rosemary syrup, lime juice, and olive oil.
• House on the Khlong – A tropical rum cocktail with coconut, butterfly pea syrup, chamuang juice, and kaffir lime syrup. It instantly brought back memories of our canal tours through Bangkok.

For round two:

• Reina de la Pasión – A complex tequila-based mix with Fernet Branca, chimichurri syrup, aloe vera, and lime.
• Golden Boy Addiction – Spicy, smoky, and rich! Made with Bulleit Rye, coffee liqueur, vermouth, absinthe, and coffee bitters.

Finally, we were surprised with a sweet treat and a final cocktail called The First Step, made with bourbon, tonka bean infusion, grapefruit liqueur, and egg white foam. A smooth, luxurious end to the night.
