Where in Bangkok is Aesops Greek Restaurant & Rooftop located?

Aesops Greek Restaurant & Rooftop is on the 25th floor of the Column Bangkok Hotel, Soi Sukhumvit 16, in the lively Asok area. It moved here from Saladaeng in late 2023 to join Bangkok’s rooftop bar scene. It’s a short walk from BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit stations, making it easy to reach by public transport, taxi, or on foot from nearby Terminal 21. The rooftop bar is part of the hotel but open to everyone—no need to be a hotel guest.

If you drive, use the Rama IV 2 exit from the Chaloem Maha Nakhon Expressway. BTS Asok station is about an 8-minute walk, and Nana BTS station is roughly 1 km away. The Blue-Line MRT is also close, adding to the easy access.

Aesops Greek Social Dining mixes classic Greek style with modern Bangkok vibes. It has high ceilings, marble details, Greek columns, and statues, all in a stylish setting with Instagram-friendly spots. The crowd is a lively mix of locals, expats, and tourists, all looking for a fun night out. On weekends, live DJs and shows like acrobatics, aerial performances, and fire dancing take center stage. Themed nights such as “Flaming Fridays” and “OPA Saturdays” keep the energy high. After 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, no children under 16 are allowed, ensuring an adult-friendly vibe during peak times.

Aesops Bangkok’s menu celebrates Mediterranean flavors with a modern twist. Designed for sharing, it’s perfect for groups. Highlights include Flaming Cheese Saganaki, where Kefalograviera cheese is flambéed with honey and brandy at the table—a treat for both eyes and taste buds. The Greek Dips Meze Tower offers classic dips and small plates to share. Moussaka layers wagyu beef, eggplant, and creamy béchamel for a hearty bite. Meat lovers enjoy Kleftiko, slow-roasted lamb that melts in your mouth. The Mixed Grill Platter includes souvlaki and kofta, while seafood fans can try Grilled Octopus with apple cider, olive oil, and fennel salad. For dessert, Baklava is flaky, nutty, and soaked in honey—a perfect sweet finish. The dramatic presentation, like the saganaki, adds to the fun and gets everyone cheering.

Aesops Bangkok’s drink menu is as creative as its food, featuring cocktails inspired by Greek gods and myths. Each drink is made with flair, offering a visual and tasty experience. Highlights include Naked Apollo, a bold mix of Blended Scotch, Mastika, honey, ginger, and peated whisky, blending strength and warmth. Poseidon’s Fury is a tropical mix of two rums, hazelnut, pineapple, and coconut, refreshing with a punch. Athena’s Golden Apple combines dry gin, cardamom, apple, lemon, pistachio, and Tsipouro for a refined, aromatic taste.

The Baklava Old-Fashioned blends bourbon with sweet, nutty flavors like the classic Greek dessert. The Ouzo Mule mixes dill-infused ouzo, vodka, lime, and spicy ginger beer for a zesty, aromatic kick. These inventive cocktails match Aesops’ lively vibe and show the bar’s focus on unique, memorable drinks.

What did we order at Aesops during our March 2025 visit?

Our visit to Aesops Bangkok was special as it brought back memories of our first time here in 2019 when it was called Long Table. The long table inside and the stunning Bangkok skyline made it unforgettable. The pandemic caused its closure, but when we returned to the new Aesops, we instantly recognized the building, and the amazing view was just as breathtaking—OPA!

This was our last rooftop bar visit of our 2024/2025 Thailand trip, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place than the festive Greek Aesops in Asok. After getting a great seat, we started the night with two signature cocktails: Zeus and Apollo. Both inspired by Greek gods, these bold drinks set the perfect tone for the evening.

For appetizers, we picked Tzatziki with pita bread and Flaming Cheese Saganaki—grilled halloumi flambéed at the table with pomegranate and muhammara dip. These lively Greek starters were the perfect way to begin the night—OPA!

For our final rooftop dinner, we chose two signature grilled Greek dishes—rare in Thailand. We ordered the Mix Grill, with kofta and harissa sauce, more tzatziki, and chicken, pork, and beef souvlaki. We also tried the 12-Hour Greek-Style Lamb with lemon potatoes, a great tip from the friendly staff. The portions were big and full of authentic flavors.

For our second round, we picked the stunning Greek Island Iced Tea, a huge cocktail that arrived as the party got going. With dancers, a DJ, a percussionist, and lots of Greek cheer, it was an unforgettable night—OPA!

During the evening, we embraced the Greek spirit by buying two smashing plates (THB 30 each), writing down our wishes to break free from the 9-to-5 grind, and joyfully smashing them during the celebration.

To end the evening, we tried two desserts: Chocolate Baklava and Olive Oil Ice Cream. Though the large portions kept us from finishing, we savored the rich flavors—a perfect close to our Greek food journey—OPA!

For a final touch, we ordered two unique cocktails: Hermes and Medusa. The Hermes came in a fun Hermes-themed glass, while the Medusa glowed green, adding a playful twist to our farewell toast.

Looking back on our night at Aesops, it was the perfect farewell to our rooftop bar visits in Bangkok. The lively atmosphere, creative cocktails, and feeling of escaping the daily grind made a lasting mark. We’ll definitely return to smash more plates and enjoy the Greek vibes—OPA!
