ABar Rooftop sits atop the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. This stylish sky bar offers outdoor seating with wide views of Bangkok’s skyline. Famous for its large gin selection and creative cocktails, it’s a popular place for a great night out in the city.

ABar is an open-air spot with a cozy setting for up to 80 guests. It has one of Bangkok’s biggest gin collections, with over 100 types, including many craft brands. We loved trying their signature cocktails along with some delicious snacks!

ABar Rooftop is on the 38th floor of the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park at 199 Sukhumvit Soi 22, Klong Ton, Klong Toey, Bangkok. It’s easy to reach from the Phrom Phong BTS station. As part of the hotel, it offers a convenient place for guests and visitors to relax.

Menu, what to eat and drink at ABar Rooftop?

Food

ABar offers Asian-inspired tapas and snacks like spicy tuna tacos, shrimp tempura rolls, and crispy rice with Cajun tuna. These dishes pair perfectly with their wide drink selection.

Drinks

ABar Rooftop’s drink menu is a highlight, especially for gin lovers. We loved the Signature cocktails inspired by Bangkok’s districts like Chatuchak, Phra Nakhon, and Yaowarat.

• 60-Baht-Ticket-Or-So: A highball cocktail inspired by Bangkok’s old Rama Cinema, made with 12-year-old single malt whisky, black sesame shrub, citrus, and ginger ale. It’s garnished with popcorn and comes with a Chinese red envelope holding a special gift.
• New World Mall: Beefeater gin mixed with Lillet Blanc, Blue Curacao, and yuzu foam, inspired by Bangkok’s big malls.

Other drinks on the signature cocktail menu include Big Swing, Neoclassic Brutalism, and Tacky Tacky. There are twelve in total—try them all! The bar also serves classic cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.

What did we order at ABar?

We first visited ABar in November 2024 during our stay at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. With a dinner reservation nearby at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, we had limited time, but ABar still made a strong impression. We tried a few signature cocktails, and the Muay Thai Smash stood out. Served in a can, this fiery drink with Chalong Bay Thai rum, Thai basil, citrus, five spices, and a spicy chili kick captured the energy of its name perfectly. It was love at first sip and gave us a reason to return in 2025.

When we returned, we took time to try more of ABar’s offerings. We matched several signature cocktails with creative bites. The spicy tuna tacos with ponzu aioli were full of flavor, the angry tuna roll with yellowfin and pickled jalapeño had the right kick, and the shrimp tempura roll with eel sauce was irresistible. Even after trying new drinks, the Muay Thai Smash stayed our favorite—it packs a punch and is a must-try for anyone wanting a cocktail with character.
