Coming by Grab, Bolt, tuk tuk, MuvMi or taxi? Just ask to be dropped off at the entrance of the SW1 area; drivers usually know the place well.

Opening hours vary by day, but most stalls open around 16:00 and stay open until about 22:00 –23:00. It’s a nice market for both afternoon and evening visits.

You’ll immediately smell the grill: juicy chicken satay fresh off the fire, pad thai or fried rice, crispy fried chicken bites, grilled chicken thighs, and freshly baked spring rolls. Many stalls offer tasting portions, perfect if you want to try several flavors.

We tasted a bit of everything, but the Hat Yai Chicken from R’ Pang really stood out. Both versions are excellent, especially paired with sticky rice and homemade sauces — so tasty with those fried shallots or garlic on top; be sure to ask for that extra “scoop on top!”

Craving something sweet? You’re in luck here too. Think mango sticky rice, kanom buang (Thai crepes), roti pancakes, creamy coconut ice cream, or kanom krok — small coconut pancakes and in our opinion the ultimate snack.

For drinks you have plenty of options: bubble tea, fresh fruit shakes, or a cold Chang or Singha beer if you’re in the mood.

The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. You can sit at high tables, plastic stools, picnic tables, or benches — or just stand and eat like many locals do. Perfect for a casual, friendly Bangkok evening.
