Menu, what to eat and drink at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant in Bangkok?
At Pagoda, the meal starts with elegant starters and comforting soups. Signature dishes include crispy prawn spring rolls, barbecued pork buns, and steamed dumplings, all crafted with Cantonese finesse. Luxurious options feature abalone with wasabi sauce, braised bird’s nest soup, and crispy pork belly. For comfort, try the double-boiled black chicken soup or hot and sour Sichuan-style soup. The mains offer both indulgence and tradition, like crispy fried prawns with salted egg yolk, pan-fried scallops with asparagus, and braised whole abalone with vegetables. Live seafood such as Phuket lobster, Boston lobster, and mud crab come steamed with garlic, baked in stock, or stir-fried with black peppercorns—showcasing top ingredients and expert cooking.

Vegetarians and vegetable lovers alike are well taken care of, with standout dishes such as stir-fried asparagus with black truffle, braised tofu with mushrooms, and wok-fried green beans. The thoughtful execution continues into the dessert course, where options like chilled mango sago with pomelo, crispy durian rolls, and warm black sesame dumplings in ginger tea offer a sweet and memorable finish. Pair your dessert with a cup of Silver Needle white tea or Pu’erh Gold, served in the style of a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Every course at Pagoda feels carefully composed — traditional yet modern, rich in flavor, and always beautifully presented.

Our dining experience at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant in December 2024
From the moment we entered Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, we knew it would be special. We started with a warm seafood hot and sour soup, rich with prawns, tofu, mushrooms, and a perfect mix of spice and tang. The deep-fried prawns with wasabi mayo were crispy outside and juicy inside, served on fresh greens. For the main course, we enjoyed a trio of barbecued meats—crispy pork belly, roasted duck, and sweet char siu—each tender and flavorful. The wagyu beef fried rice came sizzling hot, filling the air with aroma and a satisfying umami taste.

To finish on a sweet note, we had deep-fried red bean pancakes dusted with sugar and delightfully chewy, alongside a refreshing mango pudding that melted in our mouths. Each dish was beautifully presented and refined, showing why Pagoda is one of Bangkok’s top Chinese restaurants. The warm service, elegant setting, and consistent quality made this dinner a standout in our food journey through the city.
