Food
Ojo Bangkok offers a creative blend of traditional and modern Mexican dishes. From the raw section, highlights include Kaviari Osciètre caviar with flour tortillitas, scallop aguachile, and kampachi ceviche. Cold starters feature the famous Ojo Guacamole topped with crab and ikura salsa. Warm starters like bone marrow with tortillas and beef birria tamal offer rich flavors. Main dishes include crispy suckling pig with pistachio mole, slow-cooked lamb barbacoa, and Veracruzana lobster with olives, almonds, and guindillas. All mains come with refried beans and handmade tortillas.
Desserts at Ojo are just as impressive, mixing Mexican classics with a modern twist. Choices include Arroz Con Leche with vanilla rice and cinnamon ice cream, Choco Flan with chocolate cake and milk ice cream, and Calabaza en Dulce—a spiced pumpkin with mascarpone cream and caviar. The lunch set menu offers a simple way to enjoy Ojo’s best, featuring dishes like pescado a la talla and lamb barbacoa, plus optional desserts like chamoy sorbet. Even the snack menu shines with fun options like coconut ceviche and wagyu beef tartare. Ojo Bangkok turns Mexican cuisine into fine dining art.
Drinks
At Ojo Bangkok, the drinks menu is as impressive as the food. Cocktails celebrate agave and Mexican creativity, with unique drinks like the Mexpresso Martini (tequila reposado, cold brew coffee liqueur, parmesan) and the spicy-sweet Ojo Margarita (tequila, Cointreau, jalapeño, bubbles). For something fresh, try the Mex & Tonic (mezcal, banana, Indian tonic) or the bold Pendejo (mezcal, Campari, lime, passion fruit). Classic Mexican drinks like Michelada, Paloma, and Tommy’s Margarita are expertly made. Wine lovers can choose from a stylish list featuring boutique, sustainable wineries worldwide. The spirits menu offers a wide range of tequilas, mezcals, and fine champagnes. Whether you want a crafted cocktail, crisp wine, or agave adventure, Ojo delivers an unforgettable drinking experience.

Beyond cocktails, Ojo Bangkok offers a great selection of drinks to enhance your meal. Wine lovers will enjoy a curated list featuring boutique labels, organic vineyards, and international picks from France, Italy, Spain, and more. For special occasions, there’s a fine range of champagnes, including Bollinger and Ruinart. Tequila and mezcal fans can choose premium bottles from rare artisanal producers in Mexico. Ojo also serves fresh juices, soft drinks, and specialty waters—perfect for a light, refreshing drink while enjoying Bangkok’s skyline.
What did we order at Ojo Bangkok?
We started our Mexican culinary journey at Ojo with a masterful trio of appetizers. First was a tomato salad—a work of art with Chiang Mai tomato varieties, edible flowers like zucchini and crocus blooms, and spicy fermented chili mayo. Fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated!
Next was a light, fresh dish: raw tuna with kalamata olive emulsion, thinly sliced radish, and onion—zesty and delicious. Then came the star: Ojo Guacamole, topped with crab meat, crispy salmon eggs, shrimp oil, and fresh herbs like dill and cilantro. Served with crunchy tostadas, it was addictive. Personal note to Chef Francisco: where can we order gallons of that guacamole and roasted salsa? You’ve created a craving!
As if three appetizers weren’t enough, two warm ones followed. The roasted bone marrow lived up to the hype: crispy toasted rice powder, rich marrow to spread on warm tortillas, and spicy roasted salsa for a perfect bite. Our favorite? Roasted baby corn covered in grated pecorino, jalapeño mayo, and crumbled macadamia nuts.
For our mains, we shared both land and sea. I ordered “Uno Carnitas e uno Pescado por favor,” which made our Thai server smile. I had a glass of Koehler Ruprecht Kabinett Tröcken white wine, and Ilonka chose a full-bodied red. The grilled fish came first—perfectly cooked with avocado, cucumber, chili, and cilantro. The highlight was Ilonka’s Birria—a big slow-cooked short rib in rich Jalisco Adobo sauce, with sticky rice and fresh tortillas. I was a bit jealous, but Ilonka kindly shared every bite. Si, cara senorita!
After finishing our plates, dessert was a well-earned treat. The Arroz Con Leche—creamy vanilla rice pudding with cinnamon ice cream and soy milk shavings—was delightful. But the Guava Tres Leches stole the show: sponge cake bursting with elderflower, guava, and raspberry flavors.
To end our first night in Bangkok as a married couple, we celebrated with cocktails. Ilonka chose the “This Isn’t Piña Colada”—because nothing says vacation like it—while I enjoyed a classic Negroni, inspired by Campari Thailand, who kindly sent us wedding gifts during our stay at Villa Chi in Koh Samui. Thanks, Campari Thailand!
From start to finish, our evening at Ojo was a dream: exceptional food, world-class service, and memories that will stay with us forever.
