Nobu is located in the busy business district of Bangkok, occupying the top three floors of The Empire Tower in Sathorn. For drivers, the Empire Tower Parking has multiple entrances.

Architecture & Design
Designed by the famous Rockwell Group, Nobu Bangkok spans three levels, each with its own style: Urban, Jungle, and River. These themes come from a vintage map of Thailand and shape the design of each floor.

- Urban (58th Floor – Main Dining & Bar): This area has layered ceilings, warm earth tones, silver travertine, bronze details, and traditional Thai fabrics. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide stunning skyline views.
- Jungle (57th Floor – Lounge & Rooftop Bar): Inspired by rice terraces and mountains, the darker color palette includes emerald marble, reflective stones, and floral textures.
- River (60th Floor – Outdoor Terraces): Natural wood, greenery, and soft fabrics create a calming, sunset-hued atmosphere.

Indoor Main Dining Area – 58th Floor
The main dining room on the 58th floor is the heart of the restaurant. It has a relaxed, elegant vibe with soft lighting and great city views. It’s ideal for enjoying Chef Nobu’s Japanese-Peruvian fusion dishes from the a la carte menu.
Ambiance & Atmosphere
Nobu Bangkok’s atmosphere blends elegance with comfort. Soft jazz plays in the background, and the crowd includes business professionals and food-loving travelers. As the sun sets, a warm golden light fills the space. The lighting and music are carefully chosen to suit the evening’s mood.

Service & Hospitality
Service at Nobu Bangkok meets the brand’s global standards. Guests receive attentive and professional care. Reservations are advised, with a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. The restaurant welcomes children of all ages and is wheelchair accessible indoors. Last kitchen orders are at 22:30, and drinks can be ordered until 23:45. The restaurant closes at midnight.
What type of kitchen do they have at Nobu BKK?
Nobu Bangkok offers modern Japanese cuisine with Peruvian touches, a signature of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. This style mixes Japanese methods and ingredients with Latin American flavors like chili, citrus, and herbs, creating a refined and adventurous menu.

Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and the Bangkok’s kitchen team
Chef Nobu Matsuhisa is a world-famous Japanese chef known for creating Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine. Born in Saitama, Japan, he trained as a sushi chef before moving to Peru, where limited ingredients inspired his creativity. This led to his unique style mixing Japanese techniques with bold Latin American flavors. In 1994, he co-founded Nobu with actor Robert De Niro. Today, Nobu has restaurants in major cities worldwide. Chef Nobu is praised for his innovation, attention to detail, and skill in blending different food cultures, making him one of the most influential chefs globally.
Though Chef Nobu doesn’t run the Bangkok location, his influence is clear. A skilled team of chefs prepares each dish following the brand’s global standards, ensuring both consistency and creativity. They add their own touch while staying true to Nobu’s philosophy.

Our visit at Nobu in January 2025
Less than four months after opening, we finally dined at Nobu Bangkok. After visits to The Empire for % Arabica coffee and a great Le Du Kaan dinner, our excitement was high. That evening, sitting above the city skyline, we were ready to find out what makes Nobu Bangkok special.
We began with the famous Yellowtail Jalapeño—thin slices of hamachi sashimi with citrusy yuzu soy, fresh jalapeño, garlic, and a hint of coriander. This classic dish blends tradition with bold innovation, perfectly capturing Nobu’s Japanese-Peruvian fusion.

Next came two Nobu Tacos: Salmon New Style and Short Rib Aji Amarillo. Served with Baby Spinach Salad with Dry Miso, the mix of textures, citrus, truffle, and crisp yuba was perfect for a warm Bangkok night.

Next was the House Special Roll—an impressive maki with premium salmon, tuna, avocado, tobiko, and crisp vegetables. It was generous, balanced, and beautifully made. The highlight of the night was the Black Cod Miso—a true showstopper marinated for three days. This melt-in-your-mouth dish is one of the best fine dining fish dishes we’ve ever had.
We also tried the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna—a perfect mix of golden crunch and soft texture, topped with spicy tuna that melted in the mouth.
To finish, we shared a fresh, fruity seasonal dessert that was as beautiful as it was tasty. Want to know what it was? Ask for it when you visit—you won’t be disappointed.
During the meal, we enjoyed Whispering Angel Rosé, a crisp, elegant wine from Provence. Its light citrus, peach, and red berry flavors paired perfectly with every dish, enhancing the experience.
After dinner, we went up to the 60th-floor rooftop bar. With cocktails in hand and the glowing city below, it was the perfect end to a flawless evening.
Nobu Bangkok team, thank you—we’ll be back. To our readers: make a reservation. This is one of Bangkok’s most unforgettable dining experiences.
