We asked the Navigators for a night market recommendation, but they suggested something better. They arranged an electric tuk-tuk (MuvMi) to take us to Banthat Thong, a lively area just 15 minutes from the hotel. There, we found trendy eateries, tried many local dishes, and walked along a busy street filled with clothes, toys, street food, and more. We loved exploring Banthat Thong!

The rooms feature dark wood, clean lines, and large windows that bring in natural light and city views. Throughout the hotel, subtle Thai touches mix with a modern urban style, creating a space that’s both elegant and inviting. The design and details clearly aim to inspire guests.

Our room: Deluxe Room

Bedroom and living area

Our Deluxe Room was spacious at 38 square meters, with a very comfy king-size bed that helped us sleep soundly. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of natural light, and every morning we woke up to amazing views of Bangkok. Each evening, a turndown service was done, and one night we were surprised with delicious chocolates as a sweet gift.

Across from the bed, a 42-inch flat-screen TV with premium channels offered lots of entertainment. Near the entrance, there was a mini-fridge and a tea and coffee station. By the window, a comfy chair and work desk made a great spot to work while enjoying the view.

Bathroom

Our elegant bathroom had a separate bathtub and a walk-in rainfall shower, with quality toiletries like shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner from Agus by Margot Elena. Thoughtful extras included toothbrushes and daily mouthwash, which is rare. A window linked the bathroom to the living area and could be closed with a blind. Leaving it open made the room feel bigger.

Quan Spa

Quan Spa, inside Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel, offers a peaceful break from the city’s busy pace. Open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, the spa provides a calm setting to relax and recharge. Its wide menu includes massages, body scrubs, facials, and steam baths, all designed to calm the mind and body.

A signature treatment is the Vichy Shower hydrotherapy, where warm water jets massage the body, boost circulation, and refresh the skin. Quan Spa also offers a creamy body scrub that cleans and revives the skin, enhancing its natural glow.

Though Givenchy treatments aren’t listed on the spa’s menu, Quan Spa offers a wide range of services to ensure a luxurious experience. Its focus on quality and relaxation makes it a top spot for anyone looking to unwind in the heart of Bangkok.

Indoor Pool

One of the few Bangkok hotels with a beautiful indoor pool, stylish lounges, and city views. It’s a calm oasis, perfect for cooling down after a busy day.

Fitness Center

The 24-hour fitness center is large and has modern cardio machines, strength equipment, and free weights. Guests can also use a studio for yoga or stretching.

During our visit there was a big event going on in one fo the event spaces by Pandora .

Club Lounge

Club Lounge privileges include private breakfast, all-day drinks, evening cocktails, and a dedicated concierge. The lounge is a stylish, quiet space ideal for work or relaxation.

Food & Drinks

During our stay, the Italian and Japanese restaurants were fully booked for a Netflix series filming. Still, we enjoyed the delightful afternoon tea and the excellent breakfast buffet the next morning.

Flavors Restaurant

Flavors is the hotel’s main all-day dining spot, offering a stylish and modern setting. Its open kitchen lets guests see chefs preparing a wide range of international dishes. From wok-tossed Asian foods to tandoor-grilled meats, sushi, and more, the buffet offers something for every taste. Natural light brightens the space by day, while a warm atmosphere welcomes guests in the evening, making it great for casual meals or special occasions.

Breakfast buffet @ Flavors Restaurant

Breakfast at Flavors was a highlight, with a wide buffet featuring many cuisines. We especially loved the pandan pancakes—a must-try for all ages. The menu changed slightly each morning to keep things fresh. We also enjoyed the variety of fresh fruits and juices, with staff happily making custom blends. Alongside Western classics, there were plenty of Indian, Japanese, and authentic Thai dishes. Breakfast at Flavors is definitely one of Renaissance Bangkok’s best features!

Fei Ya

A must-visit for Chinese food lovers, Fei Ya is famous for its Peking duck, dim sum, and creative modern dishes. The setting is elegant but relaxed, ideal for a special dinner.

La Tavola & Wine Bar

La Tavola brings authentic Italian flavors to Bangkok with classic pastas, hearty dishes, and a wide wine list. Its casual yet refined setting is perfect for romantic dinners or friendly gatherings.

H2O Pool Bar

The H2O Pool Bar at Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel is a stylish spot next to the pool and spa. It serves hot and cold drinks like juices, tea, and iced cappuccinos. We loved the panoramic Bangkok views through the large windows!

R Bar

The R Bar is a chic lobby bar ideal for evening drinks or snacks. With creative cocktails, live evening music, and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a popular hangout.

Afternoon Tea @ R Bar

After our trip from Railay, we arrived at Renaissance craving something sweet. Luckily, the hotel offers a great afternoon tea from 14:00 to 17:00, with plenty of sweet treats and some savory bites. The cocktails we ordered to celebrate our return were excellent, and the Thai tea paired perfectly with it all!
