As of 2023, Park Hyatt Bangkok tops our list as the most luxurious and service-focused hotel in the city. We compare its excellent service to The Siam in Bangkok, Treehouse Villas in Koh Yao Noi, and Rayavadee in Krabi. From arrival, Park Hyatt stood out with its perfect hospitality, luxury, and great location. In this review, we share our experience and explain why we think it’s Bangkok’s best hotel.

Location & Accessibility: Where in Bangkok is Park Hyatt located?

Park Hyatt Bangkok is in the upscale Phloen Chit area, above the Central Embassy mall, and connected to the Phloen Chit BTS Skytrain by a skywalk. Its central spot makes places like Lumpini Park, the Erawan Shrine, and CentralWorld easy to reach. The hotel offers covered parking, valet service, and airport transfers to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport, about 45 minutes away.

Service & Hospitality

Hospitality at Park Hyatt Bangkok is excellent. From the friendly front desk to caring housekeeping and restaurant staff, everyone is professional and warm. Small details like handwritten notes, welcome treats, and turndown service made us feel truly appreciated.

Architecture & Design

The building’s design, by London’s AL_A and Bangkok’s Pi Design, features a unique 3D figure-eight shape. This symbolizes good luck in Chinese culture and blends traditional Thai patterns with a shiny aluminum-tiled exterior, offering a modern take on Thai architecture.

Park Hyatt Bangkok is more than a luxury hotel—it’s like an art gallery. With over 700 pieces of contemporary art, it has one of the best collections in Bangkok’s hotel scene. The art reflects Thai heritage in a modern way, enhancing the hotel’s calm and elegant vibe.

Ambiance & Atmosphere

Though centrally located, the hotel provides a peaceful retreat from the city’s busy pace. Soft lighting, gentle music, and carefully chosen art create a calm, elegant atmosphere from the lobby to the lounge.

Our room, the King Room

From the moment we entered our King Room, we felt at home. The room was spotless, spacious, and nicely decorated. We were welcomed with two chilled coconuts and a strawberry tart with fresh fruit—small touches that meant a lot. The evening turndown service added warmth, making us feel truly valued.

Right next to the entrance was a large walk-in closet with a safe, ironing board, and soft robes and slippers. It had plenty of room for our luggage and clothes.

The front of the bedroom had a large desk and a sleek cabinet holding the minibar and Nespresso machine, with plenty of pods. Fresh coffee was always close by.

The sleeping area featured a luxurious king-size bed facing a 55” LED TV. By the window, a small sofa served as a chaise longue—ideal for relaxing while enjoying city views. Despite its central location, the room was very quiet thanks to good soundproofing. Electronic blackout curtains let us wake up slowly to the Bangkok skyline.

To the far left was the standout bathroom—one of the best we’ve seen in Bangkok. It featured a deep soaking tub with skyline views, a separate walk-in rain shower, and a double marble sink. Natural light and soft colors made the space feel open and calm. Le Labo’s Bergamote 22 bath products added a touch of luxury, making every moment there enjoyable.

Facilities

Infinity Saltwater Pool

On the ninth floor, the 40-meter saltwater infinity pool is one of Bangkok’s most beautiful. Surrounded by tropical plants, cabanas, and daybeds, it offers amazing city views. Poolside service includes fresh water, free ice cream, and tasty light snacks.

Fitness Center

The 24-hour gym has modern cardio machines, weights, and strength gear. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light and offer city views. Personal trainers are available on request.

Pañpuri Organic Spa

One of Bangkok’s best luxury spas, Pañpuri Organic Spa on the 11th floor offers top massage and wellness treatments in eight private rooms. Guests pick their oils, scents, and music. Heated massage beds and a foot cleanse before treatments add to the pampering.

Steam Room & Whirlpool

Separate steam rooms and hot tubs for men and women are on the spa floor. These relaxing areas are free for hotel guests and great for unwinding before or after treatments.

Business & Event Facilities

Park Hyatt Bangkok has 12 modern event spaces covering 2,000 square meters. These stylish venues are perfect for business meetings, conferences, and private events, with professional planning services offered.

Food & Beverage

Dining at Park Hyatt Bangkok is a stylish and creative experience. From gourmet breakfasts and tasting menus to handcrafted cocktails and rooftop dinners, each place mixes global flavors with Thai warmth. Fresh, seasonal ingredients and creative presentation stand out, with excellent service all around. Whether having an Italian lunch or a cocktail under the stars, every bite and sip feels special and memorable.

Breakfast at Embassy Room

We began our days with one of Bangkok’s best breakfasts. Served daily from 6:30 to 10:30 at the Embassy Room, it offers both à la carte and buffet options. Western, Asian, Middle Eastern, and healthy dishes are all available. We especially enjoyed sitting outside on comfy couches overlooking the infinity pool and city skyline. Highlights included fresh croissants, tropical fruits, fresh juices, and the Signature Croissant Benedict.

Embassy Room – La MarinaCuisine

Embassy Room at Park Hyatt Bangkok has shifted from Catalan to southern Italian flavors. Now called Embassy Room La Marina, it offers an Italian seafood dining experience inspired by Italy’s coast. The menu includes Sicilian fish stew, baked seabream in cherry tomato stew, and grilled grouper, all made with seasonal ingredients. The atmosphere is relaxed and lively, capturing southern Italy’s coastal charm.

Embassy Room La Marina is on the 9th floor of Park Hyatt Bangkok and is open daily from 12:00 to 22:00. It serves a variety of Southern Italian set menus.

The Living Room (9th Floor)

Open daily from 7:30 to 21:00, The Living Room is perfect for casual meals, afternoon tea, or drinks with live music on weekends.

The Bar (10th Floor)

Next to the check-in desk, The Bar is a stylish lounge with a terrace offering great views and comfy seating. It’s ideal for a pre-dinner drink or a relaxing afternoon cocktail in the city center.

Penthouse Grill (34th Floor)

This main restaurant serves charcoal-grilled meats and premium seafood in an elegant setting. Whether inside or on the small terrace, the views are stunning. We enjoyed one of our best hotel lunches here, with shrimp pomelo salad, Wagyu carpaccio, steak frites, and the rich Baba au Rum.

Penthouse Chef’s Table (34th Floor)

A hidden gem behind the kitchen, this private room with its own wine cellar seats up to eight guests. It offers a luxurious, intimate dining experience perfect for special occasions.

Penthouse Cocktail Bar (35th Floor)

Chic and cozy, this cocktail bar offers signature and classic drinks with amazing city views. Pick a window seat or sit at the stylish bar. Open until 02:00, it’s perfect for a late-night drink.

Johnnie Walker Depth of Blue Room (35th Floor)

This hidden whisky bar honors Johnnie Walker Blue Label in a speakeasy-style setting. Tucked behind a wooden panel, it’s perfect for whisky lovers looking for something exclusive.

The Mezzanine (35th Floor)

This semi-private event space is ideal for private gatherings and special celebrations. It can be tailored to your needs, with full support from the Penthouse team.

Penthouse Rooftop Bar (36th Floor)

The rooftop bar, Park Hyatt Bangkok’s highlight, offers a relaxed lounge vibe with sweeping city views. It’s perfect for watching sunsets with a tropical cocktail. The intimate setting suits romantic nights or stylish gatherings.
