Mercure Bangkok Siam
Mercure Bangkok Siam delivers every time. It’s stylish without being over-the-top, well-located without the noise, and offers quality without breaking the bank. For a true Bangkok experience with all the modern comforts, this is one of our top picks in the city.

Mercure Bangkok Siam: Located in the center of everyhting!
If you’re looking for a hotel that checks all the boxes—great location, reliable service, comfortable rooms, and excellent facilities—Mercure Bangkok Siam is one to put at the top of your list. We’ve stayed here multiple times, and each visit reinforces our love for this four-star favorite. Whether you’re in town for shopping, culture, business, or simply to soak up Bangkok, this hotel’s central location and exceptional value make it a no-brainer.

Location & Accessibility: Where in Bangkok is Mercure Bangkok Siam located?
Located right next to BTS National Stadium Station, Mercure Bangkok Siam couldn’t be better placed for getting around Bangkok. It’s just a 15-minute walk to BTS Siam Station—the city’s most important Skytrain hub—and you’re surrounded by shopping giants like MBK Center, Siam Discovery, and Siam Paragon. There’s even a 7-Eleven right at the entrance. The hotel also connects easily to Bangkok’s R-Walk (Ratchaprasong Walk), making it ideal for exploring nearby cultural hotspots like the Jim Thompson House and the Bangkok Art & Culture Centre.

Service & Hospitality
From check-in to checkout, service at Mercure Bangkok Siam is consistently warm and professional. Every stay, we’ve been impressed by the helpful attitude of the staff, from the receptionists to the housekeeping team. During our Test & Go stay in 2021, we received the good news of a negative test result with a personal call—small gestures like that make a big difference.

Architecture & Design
Sharing a building with Ibis Bangkok Siam, this modern high-rise features a clean, minimalistic design both inside and out. A highlight is the massive Alex Face mural at the entrance—Thailand’s most famous street artist greets you with his iconic Mardi character. The upper floors, including the gym and rooftop pool, provide sweeping views of the Bangkok skyline.

Ambiance & Atmosphere
Despite being in the thick of Bangkok’s urban jungle, the hotel maintains a quiet and calming atmosphere. Whether you’re swimming in the rooftop pool or enjoying breakfast on the eight floor, it feels like a peaceful retreat from the city below.

Room Types at Mercure Bangkok Siam
There are two main room categories: Superior Rooms (25 m2) and Executive Rooms (38 m2). Both are stylish, practical, and include a minibar, large TV, Wi-Fi, and a comfy couch by the window. Executive Rooms come with added perks like a Nespresso machine, premium amenities, and access to the exclusive Privilege Club Lounge.

Our Room: Executive Room on the 24th Floor
Bedroom
Our Executive Room had a plush queen-size bed with crisp white linens and a cloud-like mattress. There was a compact desk for working and a cozy sitting area where we enjoyed watching the sunrise over MBK and the Siam skyline.
Living area
We loved the thoughtful layout—minimal clutter but everything we needed. A Nespresso machine and stocked minibar were at our disposal. The iron and board came in handy for our dinner at a nearby sky bar.
Bathroom
A clean, spacious bathroom with a surprise: a fog-mist setting in the shower! Water pressure was excellent, and the room came with full amenities including a toothbrush kit, shampoo, and fluffy robes.

Facilities
Rooftop Pool
The rooftop saltwater pool is a welcome escape from Bangkok’s heat. It’s surrounded by sunbeds and offers decent privacy. While the pool doesn’t have the most dramatic view, it’s peaceful and refreshing.

Fitness Center
Small but mighty, the gym offers machines and free weights—with one of the best views in the hotel. It’s a perfect place to burn off those delicious Bangkok calories.

Privilege Club Lounge
Located on the top floor, this exclusive lounge offers complimentary snacks, drinks, and sweeping city views. The private terrace was a lovely spot for a coffee and some peace and quiet.
Food & Drinks
The Eight Restaurant
Located on the 8th floor, The Eight serves as both the breakfast area and all-day dining spot. The breakfast buffet had everything from Thai dishes and congee to omelets and croissants. We particularly loved the Club Sandwich for lunch.

Mercure Sky Lobby Bar
Next to the 9th-floor reception, this cozy bar was our go-to for cocktails and small bites. Their bruschetta with smoked salmon was exceptional. The outdoor terrace adds a charming touch, especially at sunset.
