Sukhumvit 8 is lined with convenience stores like 7-Eleven, and Asok’s Terminal 21 shopping mall is just a 15-minute walk or a short BTS ride away. For extra ease, the hotel even offers a complimentary shuttle service to the BTS.

During our four-night stay in August 2019, we found the staff at Hope Land Hotel to be warm, professional, and always ready to help. From front desk service to housekeeping, everything ran smoothly. Little details—like laundry help or assistance with transportation—were taken care of with a smile.

Architecture & Design

Hope Land’s design leans toward a clean and simple aesthetic. The building doesn’t stand out architecturally, but the interiors are neat and functional. The rooftop garden adds a green, peaceful element to the space and offers nice views over Bangkok.

Ambiance & Atmosphere

Despite its central location, Hope Land Hotel Sukhumvit 8 feels calm and low-key. With only 130 rooms, the hotel maintains an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. It’s a quiet base that feels more residential than hotel-like, especially for longer stays.

Our Room: Superior Double Room

Living

We stayed in a Superior Double Room and immediately felt like we had our own mini apartment in Bangkok. The room was spacious (42 m²) and came with a soft bed, sofa, dining table, desk, and even a dressing table. The style wasn’t entirely to our taste, but the space and functionality won us over.

Kitchen

Our room included a surprisingly large kitchen, complete with a microwave and a washing machine—perfect for a longer stay. Thanks to the nearby 7-Eleven, we were able to do a quick laundry run the same day we arrived.

Note: Not every room includes a washing machine, so be sure to check before buying detergent!

Bathroom

The bathroom featured both a separate bathtub and a shower cabin with good water pressure. Everything was spotless, and the toiletries provided were of decent quality.

Balcony

We appreciated the small balcony, which added a bit of fresh air and natural light. It’s one of those small things that makes a room feel more like home.

A standout feature is the rooftop swimming pool, surrounded by greenery and offering a unique perspective over Bangkok. It’s a quiet and refreshing space, perfect for an early morning dip or sunset relaxation.

In addition to the pool, the hotel offers a small sauna and steam room—ideal for unwinding after a day in the city.

Fitness Center

The gym is modest but functional, with enough equipment to get in a solid workout during your stay.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served on the ground floor and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The buffet includes eggs, sausages, croissants, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, and more. For a mid-range hotel, it’s a generous and well-presented selection. We especially enjoyed sipping juice on the outdoor terrace to start our day.
