Andaz One Bangkok: Where Modern Design, Comfort, Stunning Views and Culinary Excellence Meet

Located on historic Wireless Road, at the edge of Lumphini Park and as part of One Bangkok, an ambitious urban development with shopping mall, residences, and more. Andaz One Bangkok presents itself as one of the most striking hotel openings in Bangkok since December 2025.

Andaz is Hyatt’s lifestyle brand for curious urban travellers, and Bangkok was for a long time a notable absence in the line-up. In Singapore, Tokyo, and even in Pattaya, Andaz was already present. Now the Thai capital finally makes its entrance. With 244 rooms and suites, three restaurant concepts, an infinity pool overlooking the prettiest park in Bangkok, and one of the most distinctive art collections of any Bangkok hotel, Andaz One Bangkok immediately sets a high bar for the city’s luxury hospitality scene in 2026 and beyond.

Where is Andaz One Bangkok located?

Andaz One Bangkok sits on Wireless Road, once the site of Thailand’s first radio telegraph station. Embassies and colonial-era chic still give the street its character, and that contrasts beautifully with the gleaming new development across the road: One Bangkok.

One Bangkok is a 17-hectare district that combines retail, office towers, luxury residences, art installations, and a live entertainment arena into a complete mini-city. The crown jewel is the brand-new shopping mall with more than 250 shops and dining venues. Andaz sits right on the edge of all this, within walking distance of Lumphini Park, our favourite park in Bangkok. Eighty percent of the rooms look out onto that park, a rare luxury in a metropolis where a view of greenery is worth its weight in gold.

Accessibility is excellent. MRT Lumphini is a six-minute walk away, putting you within easy reach of Chinatown, the EM District (with EmSphere, Emporium and EmQuartier), or the Siam area with Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery. Cultural day trips to the Erawan Shrine, the Jim Thompson House & Museum, or the Chatuchak Weekend Market are all easily doable by public transport.

Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang international airports are both about thirty minutes by car in normal traffic. For anyone wanting to experience Bangkok from a central, well-connected and visually appealing home base, this is the place.

Architecture & (interior) design

Exterior

Andaz One Bangkok is part of the One Bangkok towers, designed by international architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill together with local partners including A49. The slim glass tower rises high above Wireless Road and, together with the rest of the One Bangkok buildings, forms a striking new addition to the Bangkok skyline.

What sets the building apart from its neighbours is the way the view takes centre stage. The facades are almost entirely glass, giving most of the rooms an unobstructed view over the green expanse of Lumphini Park. A deliberate and important architectural choice: the park is an integral part of the experience, both outside and inside.

Interior

The interior is the work of PIA Interior Company, the leading Thai design studio responsible for, among others, the Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town and Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach. The challenge was significant: how do you give a hotel in a brand-new glass tower a recognisable, authentic character without sliding into Thai clichés of gold leaf and temple silhouettes?

The answer came from the immediate surroundings. The neighbouring sois in the area, with their mid-century modernist architecture from the 1950s and 60s, served as the inspiration. Curved ceilings, elegant arches, and sinuous lines translate that legacy into a contemporary interior. Cast-iron window grilles from traditional Thai trading buildings reappear as decorative screens in the lobby and hallways, and the doors of classic shophouses inspired the patinated metalwork throughout the hotel. Once inside, the distinctive Andaz character is immediately tangible, no matter how shiny the tower looks from the outside.

A lovely design detail we noticed ourselves: the team has taken street photographs of the immediate neighbourhood and incorporated them into the rooms and corridors. The typical bars of Thai window frames and shophouse gates also return as decorative elements near the lifts and in the rooms.

The art collection further reinforces the identity. Under the “Glocal Witthayu” concept, the hotel has brought together work from four prominent Thai female artists. On arrival, a mixed-media installation by Pinaree Sanpitak, “Pocket of Nature, 2025”, greets guests at the entrance. In the lobby hangs an overwhelmingly large textile tapestry by Ploenchan Mook Vinyaratn, made from recycled yarns and carpet, paying homage to electrical wires, street grids and the Lumphini Park clock tower.

Andaz’s Atmosphere and Concept

The atmosphere at Andaz One Bangkok is hard to pin down, but you feel it immediately. Creative, luxurious and contemporary, and completely different from Andaz Pattaya where we stayed a few years earlier. The “Vertical Neighbourhood” concept, where each floor has its own character, works surprisingly well in practice. The lobby on the L floor (sixth floor) feels like a Gallery Alley, the floor with gym and pool breathes an open, sporty vibe, and Piscari Rooftop Restaurant & Bar has a completely different feel again. We loved that variety, and we found it genuinely unique.

From the moment you arrive, you can tell that Andaz, as we’ve come to expect from our previous Hyatt stays, takes hospitality seriously. No standard reception desk, no queue. You’re led to a comfortable spot in the Andaz Lounge and almost immediately handed a glass of Cha Yen: Thai iced tea, lightly sweet and refreshing, exactly what you need after a Bangkok arrival. Your passport is taken at the table and the check-in unfolds in the background. No fuss, no hurry.

During the day, snacks and bites are laid out in the Andaz Lounge, making the space feel like a shared living room rather than a sterile hotel hall. A nice way to meet fellow guests. The crowd is diverse but recognisable: design and art lovers who deliberately choose a hotel with character, business travellers who need to be in One Bangkok or the embassy district and prefer a cocktail with a view over Lumphini Park to an anonymous hotel bar after a long day, and World of Hyatt loyalists who want to spend their points on an address that actually offers something. People aren’t just waiting for their room here.

Andaz One Bangkok was, honestly, one of the most enjoyable and best hotels we stayed in during our 2025/2026 trip through Bangkok.

Service & Hospitality

Service at Andaz is by nature more informal than at classic luxury hotels, and that’s a conscious brand choice. Here it’s all about genuine attention and creativity. A nice example: staff don’t wear name tags. You simply ask someone’s name, so the next conversation is one human to human rather than guest to staff. That small detail sets the tone immediately.

The Andaz Lounge is accessible to all hotel guests and functions like an informal living room. During the day, free access to coffee, soft drinks and light snacks, and every evening between 5 and 6 pm, various nibbles paired with a beer, soft drink, signature cocktail or glass of wine, all on the house. One of the loveliest free perks you’ll come across in a Bangkok hotel.

The hotel also has an app you can use to request room service, additional amenities and other services directly from your room. We tried this ourselves and asked for a few extra slippers and a small travel deodorant. Within ten minutes they were at our door. No phone calls, no hassle. And another example worth sharing: on request, make-up remover wipes are delivered, separate wet wipes specifically for removing make-up. Not the standard cotton pads you find everywhere. Happy wife, happy life.

Room Types at Andaz One Bangkok

The 244 rooms and suites of Andaz One Bangkok are spread across multiple categories, from an entry-level room of 38-42 m² to a presidential suite of 197 m². We stayed in a room with a view over Lumphini Park, a combination that was a feast for the eyes both day and night. More on that shortly.

In all rooms you find the same strong foundation: parquet floors, marble bathrooms with separate shower and bath (except the King Bed Park Boulevard View), a complimentary minibar with non-alcoholic drinks and snacks, a Nespresso machine, BYREDO bathroom products, a Dyson hairdryer, a clothes steamer, a safe, and automatic blackout curtains. Access to the Andaz Lounge is included for all guests. Everyone is just as important here.

The rooms can be roughly divided into three tiers. The standard rooms of 38 to 42 m² come with either a king bed or twin beds, with city or park views. The 42 m² Park View room is the most requested category: an unobstructed view over Lumphini Park, a walk-in closet, and a more spacious bathroom with bathtub. Also available is the Park Boulevard View, with partial views over both the park and the One Bangkok boulevard.

In the suite category, the Andaz Suite offers separate sleeping and living areas with double sinks and panoramic park views. The Andaz Suite goes a step further with a full dining and living area and premium finishes. The 137 m² Poolhouse is particularly special, and one of the hotel’s most unique options: a private residence at the edge of the swimming pool, available for those who really want to mark their stay. The absolute pinnacle is the 197 m² Presidential Suite, with a full panoramic view over Bangkok and all the luxury that comes with it. Some of the suites were still undergoing final touches during our visit in April 2026.

Our 1 King Bed, Park View, Deluxe Experience

We visited Andaz One Bangkok in April 2026 and were put at ease the moment we arrived. No formal welcome ritual, but a sofa in the lobby, a glass of cold Thai iced tea, and an extensive briefing on the hotel and One Bangkok, including a handy fold-out map packed with information. That’s how a good stay begins.

With our original wooden keycard, decorated with the Lumphini Park clock tower, we entered our room on the sixteenth floor. Almost simultaneously, a “wow, this is beautiful!” came from both sides.

Just to the right of the entrance is a powder room: a separate toilet with Japanese controls, modern tiles, and a stylish basin. To the left, the walk-in closet with ample space, a beautiful choice of materials, and wonderfully soft navy-blue bathrobes and slippers. Opposite the walk-in closet is the bathroom, with a bathtub, a compact rain shower, and sleek marble tilework. Everything new, everything beautifully finished.

A detail we didn’t expect: the bathroom products from BYREDO’s Eleventh Hour line come in boxes that together form a puzzle. Lay them out next to each other and they form the silhouette of the Lumphini Park clock tower. A small but thoughtful touch that shows the hotel thinks about design even at this level. A Dyson hairdryer is in place, as a matter of course.

Then on to the living and sleeping section of the Deluxe Park View room. The parquet floor, a comfortable red sofa with a round table, and an extra chair give the room a warm feel. A nice place to work, as it turned out during this visit. The bed was beautifully made up, and on arrival we found it decorated with an H.B.D. welcome message in folded paper notes and a handwritten card accompanied by a lovely raspberry tartlet to round off the surprise. That kind of personal attention makes all the difference.

The curtains open and close automatically via a control next to the bed, USB-C charging points are present, and by the window stands a wide bench with the most beautiful view of all: Lumphini Park in the foreground, the Bangkok skyline behind it. This was the best reason to choose this room. We had seen press photos, but in reality the room, and the hotel, completely surpassed our expectations. Book this room when you visit Bangkok.

The minibar is refilled daily, free of charge! Think a coconut drink, Cha Yen and other soft drinks, as well as snacks like fruit gummies, dark chocolate and pea crisps. On the design cabinet with pull-out bar there’s also a Nespresso machine with six capsules and proper glassware. Johnny Walker Black Label and Bacardi are present, but those are not complimentary.

Facilities: Pool & Fitness

The facilities at Andaz One Bangkok are concentrated on the seventh floor. The swimming pool is covered but feels open, with a beautiful view over Lumphini Park and the Bangkok skyline. There are about ten loungers and four larger daybeds, plenty of space for a family with young children. When we visited there was plenty of room, and the water was pleasant, after the first refreshing seconds at least. There was a bit of wind at this level, which on a warm Bangkok day is actually welcome. Ordering is easy through a QR code scan.

The gym on the same floor is modern and seriously equipped: dumbbells, barbells, treadmills, a bike, a rowing machine, a stairmaster, complemented by strength stations including a leg extension. In short, everything you need for a proper workout.

What really surprised us were the separate changing rooms for men and women, adjoining the pool and gym. Beautifully done and spacious, with marble tiles, a sauna, a steam room, experience shower, heated loungers, showers, toilets, and a large room with grooming products. And then the small touch of genius: a centrifuge for swimwear, so you take an almost-dry swim set back to your room. Free water is available everywhere, as are bath towels and hand towels.

In charge of the seventh floor is Khun Ohm, an engaging and knowledgeable person you’ll find there for questions or a quick instruction. A real gem, plain and simple. If we ever opened a gym, anywhere in the world, Khun Ohm would be at the top of our list.

Restaurants and Bars @ Andaz One Bangkok

Andaz Lounge

The Andaz Lounge, accessible to all hotel guests, functions not just as a lobby, but as an informal living room: open 24 hours during the day with free coffee, tea, soft drinks and light snacks, and daily between 5 and 6 pm there’s the Sunset Hour, where guests can choose from a cocktail, wine, beer or soft drink, accompanied by small sweet and savoury bites. Everyone is welcome to join in. One of the loveliest free perks we’ve come across in a Bangkok hotel.

Jǐng

Jǐng, the Chinese restaurant of Andaz One Bangkok, is on the same floor as the lobby, terrace, and lounge. The name means “view” or “landscape” in Chinese, and that fits immediately: natural light streams through the large windows and the space feels airy and relaxed. A modern, comfortable place if you simply want good Chinese food on a regular evening.

The open kitchen draws the eye first, but then the rest of the room asserts itself. A luxurious marble floor runs beneath a high ceiling with on-trend hanging lamps. Red and green chairs stand at neatly set tables with white linen, and at the back a long red banquette stretches almost the full length of the room. Stylish, warm, and unmistakably Andaz.

Breakfast partly takes place here and partly on the adjoining terrace, and is, as far as we’re concerned, one of the best reasons to stay in this hotel. More on that in the breakfast section. For lunch and dinner, Jǐng moves confidently through Sichuan and Cantonese territory: handmade dim sum available all day, honey-glazed char siu straight from the open kitchen, double-boiled broths, and Dandan noodles for those who love heat. A tea sommelier and tea-based cocktails complete the offering for a full and distinctive dining experience.

Breakfast @ Jǐng

Breakfast at Jǐng and on the Andaz Terrace was one of the highlights of our stay. Everything is made in-house, from the wonton and patongo (Thai fried dough) to the fresh bread and the congee, a soft rice porridge that’s well worth trying if you’re not familiar with it yet.

On the Asian side, you’ll find fried rice with scallops, pad krapao, grilled meats and fish, dim sum, and a noodle station with fresh handmade portions. The Western side has an egg station, chicken sausages, bacon, herb-crusted tomato, and roasted potato with rosemary. But the absolute highlight? The bread and pastry section. Just coincidentally, we were talking about it: the best ham-and-cheese roll we’ve ever had in a hotel, I had right here. And the rest: muffins, chocolate rolls, a savoury curry pastry, freshly baked bread of superior quality. A solid ten for the patisserie and bakery team of Andaz One Bangkok. We’d come back just for that.

Because we like to eat breakfast early, we often sat out on the terrace, pleasantly cool even in April. You’re immediately asked whether you’d like coffee or tea, and a fresh glass of orange juice is poured while you take your time at the buffet. There’s also a small à la carte menu with Moo Ping, egg dishes, and sweet creations. Plenty of choice for every day of the week.

Dinner @ Jǐng

Because we eat Chinese in Bangkok regularly, we know the bar is set high. After all, hundreds of thousands of Chinese tourists visit the city every year, and they simply expect quality at the table. Reason enough to spend our last evening at Jǐng.

After a friendly explanation of the menu and a bottle of water ordered, our charming server brought us a portion of pickled vegetables to reset our palates. Nicely sour and crunchy, a beautiful start that already hinted at what was coming. Chinese cuisine, like Thai, is at its best when shared, so we ordered a selection of dishes together that appealed to both of us.

We opened with dim sum and a few cold starters. “These aren’t side dishes, this is craftsmanship,” I said to Ilonka when the first plates arrived. Steamed Pork Siu Mai, Steamed Shrimp Dumpling and a Baked Wagyu Beef Tart, all handmade and visibly prepared with care. The Marinated Radish was a welcome lift between the richer bites. Then the prawn dish. It may not sound like the most tempting plate on paper, but do as the Asian guests at the surrounding tables do: suck the heads. The concentrated flavour in there is the best part of the whole dish. Honestly.

For the second course, the Crispy Roasted Pork Belly, so good we ordered it twice. The crust crispy as it should be, the meat underneath soft and fatty in just the right way, with the accompanying mustard dip sealing the deal. Alongside it, the Char Siu, glossily glazed with that signature sweetness. A convincing introduction to the Cantonese BBQ section of the menu.

Two wok dishes followed soon after. The Wok-Fried Seasonal Vegetables with bok choy and kale were exactly what they should be: crunchy, light, and earthy. The Wok-Fried Rice Noodles with spicy beef, chives, and bean sprouts were good in both flavour and texture, the kind of dish you finish without noticing.

To close, we went for the Chocolate Fondant with Sichuan pepper. To be honest, this wasn’t for us. The Sichuan pepper completely dominated, and the pairing with dark chocolate just didn’t work for our palate. The soft serve alongside it was fine but no more than that. If in doubt, go for the Mango Sago with coconut soft serve.

All in all, a dinner to remember. Jǐng is a serious, confident restaurant that just happens to be in a hotel.

Andaz Terrace

Adjoining the Andaz Lounge is, of course, Andaz Terrace, a spacious terrace with park views and lovely shaded seating. By day a breakfast and lunch spot, in the afternoon the place for afternoon tea, and in the evening the stage for “The Second One is on Us”. Between 5 and 7 pm, your second cocktail, second glass of wine or second beer is on the house. A happy hour on a fantastic terrace, also ideal if you’re not a hotel guest and fancy a drink after exploring the One Bangkok mall or Lumphini Park.

Tea Cocktails @ Andaz Terrace

The collaboration between Jǐng and Andaz Terrace results in a fun and innovative drinks concept: a fully tea-based cocktail programme, guided by its own Tea Sommelier.

Here’s how it works. You first choose your tea infusion, then your base spirit (gin, whisky, vodka or rum), and finally your cocktail style: martini, sour, or highball. Three choices, resulting in one bespoke cocktail. The menu highlights three house favourites. The Oolong Reverie combines lemongrass and kaffir lime with vodka in a martini glass. The Peppermint Pure goes for a fresh cordial paired with rum in a highball. And the Earl Grey Blues Whisky Sour brings together green tea jasmine with honey, lemon, and whisky into a round, complex sour.

We each went for our own favourite. The Oolong Reverie with gin in a highball, fresh and aromatic. And the Mountain Black with rum in a martini glass, deeper and fuller in flavour. Both surprisingly well balanced, and a concept you won’t easily find elsewhere in Bangkok.

But Ilonka also pointed at a tea without a cocktail, simply to enjoy as it should be. And that’s exactly what the Tea Sommelier is there for: he guides guests through an extensive collection of locally sourced teas, tailored to the dishes and personal taste. The menu showcases an impressive selection, from Grand Cru rarities like an aged 1999 Kunming 7581 Pu-erh to accessible oolongs like an Osmanthus Oolong or a Dong Ding Charcoal Roast. For the tea lover, Jǐng is a paradise.

Piscari Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

And then our favourite restaurant at Andaz: Piscari. This is where we started our first night, and we still regret not heading back up to the roof on our last evening for a few drinks. We loved Piscari so much, found it so good and so enjoyable, that we wrote a separate review about it. Are you near Lumphini Park or One Bangkok? Have at least one drink up here.

On the 23rd floor, it’s all about atmosphere, view, and flavour. During the day a Mediterranean restaurant led by French chef Marc Vasseur, who earned his stripes in Michelin-starred kitchens. As the evening progresses, Piscari Rooftop Restaurant & Bar shifts into something buzzier, less formal, and more festive. The circular marble bar, the outdoor terrace with city panorama, and the interior in deep blue tones and sunset hues create a setting that invites you to linger. The menu runs from a Baby Cos with king crab and turmeric, via grilled octopus with Spanish chorizo, to a rich Bouillabaisse, and the cocktails are accessible but surprisingly good.

Our Conclusion

Andaz One Bangkok is not a hotel that’s trying to make an impression. It’s a hotel that simply does. From the stylish check-in with a glass of Cha Yen to the indescribable view over Lumphini Park from your room with floor-to-ceiling windows, from one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had in Bangkok to a rooftop you simply don’t want to leave. This is Bangkok at its best, packaged in one of the most distinctive hotel openings of recent years.

The concept works, the execution works, and the location is gold. We give the entire team at and around Andaz One Bangkok, including General Manager Ross, a heartfelt round of applause. What a wonderful hotel they have created.

• Book a Park View room. The price difference is more than worth it, especially in early morning and at sunset.
• Eat breakfast early and grab a seat on the terrace. In April it’s pleasantly cool before 9 am.
• Try the tea cocktail programme at Jǐng or Andaz Terrace. Ask the Tea Sommelier for advice, even if you just want to drink the tea straight.
• Use the hotel app for extra amenities. Fast, easy, and surprisingly comprehensive.
• Visit Piscari on the 23rd floor before sunset. Come early, terrace tables are in high demand.
• Walk the art route through the One Bangkok complex and find the bronze sculpture Fly by Alex Face, just near the hotel.
• The wooden keycard is decorated with the Lumphini Park clock tower, the same motif that returns in the BYREDO amenities puzzle in the bathroom.
• The bathrobe is so popular that the hotel will soon offer it for sale. We were already ready to buy.
• The hotel opened on 19 December 2025, making it the second Andaz in Thailand after Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach.
• The bronze sculpture Fly by Alex Face stands on the very spot where the artist opened his very first gallery in 2000.
